His coat and bag are RIDICULOUS!!!! What a dope a$$ old man. Especially while walking the streets of Milan. So glam. that town is….hell all of Italy. I remember just being in the airport in Rome and being utterly intrigued and in awe by all of the beauty walking around in that place…and that was JUST the airport.
this is perfection, i love everything including the orange gloves. If my father lived in europe, this is exactly how he would dress for the colder weather, perhaps not the bag though.
I am dying for this guy to be MY doctor. He is truly something! The glove peaking from the coat and gripping that INCREDIBLE bag. And mostly that coat!!! oh man. Beautiful photo, Scott.
Italians, like other Europeans are not humble about their academic achievements. Holders of doctorate degrees (Ph.Ds) regularly use the title "Dottore". This old gent, therefore, might not be an M.D. at all. (Some Italian physicians use "Dr.", rather than "Dott.", in order to clarify the situation, but there is no general rule.)
The bag is My Style Bags, a new Italian brand. The shops are in Italy (Milan, Rome, Bologna, Verona and Rimini), but you can buy online at http://www.mystylebags.it
lovely to see the tradition reinstated of having your own initials on your bags, instead of giving free advertising to the bag's producers [sorry LV, C etc.!]
OMG Carrick Great Coat!!! I love his coat and also his bag!! The hat and gloves make me speechless, it's all perfect! He is so stylish and chic, age is not the matter seriously :D I love your blog, great shot! And yes, I have just bought your book ;)
What is in the water in Italy that produces such chic? I'm an American expat who lives in Paris, and I LOVE France, but really, no one touches the Italians. They are in a class by themselves.
As I wrote that the red bag dominated a woman in an earlier photo, so this bag dominates this gent. However, given his profession, that is understandable. If the woman would have been a physician, that would have been a great physician's bag.
Young, old, it doesn't matter. The Europeans have got what it takes. Look at this man! He created his look and how he presents it to the world decades ago. He never doubts his fashion choices for a moment. The thought, "What should I wear today" never enters his mind. And yes, he is sexy too! He has that "Come Hither" look.
