How wonderful! We really don't make enough effort with hats anymore…I mean, who would even consider using a hat box nowadays? And yet it's just a sign of respect for the quality of your clothes. Such a fun display!
Very nice hats, I have owned a straw Dobb's fedora with a snap brim for 10 years now. I wear it at picnics in the summer mostly, but its such a great thing.. One of many things lost of the way of a gentlemen hats are.
Felt hats! Wide, medium or stingy brims! Thank you the plug of civililty. Don't you just love those 1940-50 photos where masses of men were in hats? Love it!
Isn't this kind of packaging luxurious and beautiful…you go into a shop and just see boxes…Then you ask for a certain hat and they have it! I know a shop like this in Seville!
Got to say – I bought a rolling panama from Bates' in Jermyn street, and very quickly it deteriorated to the point that I'm scared to roll it again. I know how to look after hats – always rolled it the right way – but the straw has not been well conditioned, and the hat is too dry and brittle.

I love the graphics on the boxes. Real "old school" – like a real haberdashery should be. This ain't Macy's men's department.
I have a bunch of wonderful Hilditch & Keys ties – veddy British. I love Savile Row style.
