I find this portrait very moving. Such tenderness in this gentleman’s eyes.
One has to trust the photographer completely to let the real self come out.

There is a subtle tension here, between the slumped, relaxed pose and the intense expression. The tight focus on the face, with the body slight out of focus, brings the subject even closer. The more I look here, the more I see – very nice work Mr S.
