Gentleman really are the peacocks,
I love the flourish of color that is both dandy and yet very gentlemanly. The pale blue scarf with hunter green sportcoat is pure genius.
Notice the beautiful buttons on the jacket – great detail. He mentioned that the whole look came from Beretta, the Italian hunting outfitter.

So manly, so fun, so mature… to manage to merge all those attributes in one outfit is just genius.
The accessories are playing together nicely, without overpowering the dark palette. The fit of the clothes is perfect, the attitude very confident and relaxed.
Not many men dare to spell fun, mature and masculine at once. Bravo.

Not only is this gent’s ensemble chic, well-thought out (merging the blue of the scarf w/the blue running through the pocket square), but it’s utilitarian too. I know NY is cold and he looks warm. I love when fashionistas aren’t slaves to stylish clothing and use pieces which are season appropriate.

This is very nice indeed. Like the jacket, which has a certain Tyrolean flavor, particularly; but the whole ensemble is…just that. As for the pocket square, it’s beautiful–and beautifully done.
Also makes the point that style has no age….

In Germany you call this look “Trachten”-Look. It’s kind of a bavarian style. The buttons are made of deer antlers (if authentic.
“Giesswein” is one of the more known companies for that kind of style.

He looks great! I have never seen pale blue and hunter green together before. Good for both sexes and all ages as well, I’d say.

One of the great advantages of middle age (and beyond!) is the ability to wear ‘costume’ without looking like a poseur or a fop. Clearly, his Tyrolean look is a getup, but he’s of an age where he COULD be a hunter, or live in Bavaria/the Alps and enjoy playing with the traditional garb. This fellow has really pulled it off.
On my last trip to Munich I was intrigued by such coats, with their deerhorn buttons/accessories, and the associated paraphernalia of boar’s teeth, silver thistle pins, grouse feathers in hats, etc. I like the tradition associated with the look, although I’m not sure there’s anything left to hunt in southern Europe!

Not only is his use of colors really impressive, but the overall fit of everything as well. Very tailored and fitted. That jacket could look rather slovenly if it was too big.

This feels SO appropriate for the holidays. The outfit feels like a celebration…like he was celebrating when he got dressed.

Love that his look came from a Beretta, more famous for it’s guns than it’s clothes, than some fashion house.

I love that the pocket square is more of a pocket blossom – a little puff of pattern. And that dab of actual peacock blue in it, all the brighter for the red next to it – masterful!

By the way Scott, Beretta is more famous as a maker of high-quality firearms. The clothing (shooting kit, really) is just a sideline for them!
