From the Car

I saw this young lady while I was leaving the Dsquared show on the way to Valentino. I thought she looked so great I had to try to get a shot.
As it turns out, she was headed to the Valentino show too.

I like more femininity. I like the top half, but I would have chosen a skirt instead of pants.

her outfit is incredible. i especially like how her scarf elongates her neck, and her choice of the plaid/flannel top. amazing shape(!): the bagginess of the top and the pants is exciting because she nonchalantly offers an alternative to the ubiquitous tights/leggings/skinny look without appearing comical/ridiculous. the texture of her gloves and the overall color scheme is dope; this is truly on point.

The color of the pant doesn’t work for me. Perhaps, as someone noted earlier, if it had been a skirt it may have worked beter.

I’m not opposed to an alternative to the tights/skinny leggings look, but the last two pairs of womens’ pants we’ve seen are too far on the baggy side for me.

Everything is turned around in Italy. Men have tight clothes and women baggy ones.

    However, I like the top.

What looks great about her baggy, sloppy pants?

i think this is the perfect example of how to wear clothes vs. having the clothes wear you…she carries the look exceptionally well sans rouge, blush and any other distractions. her hair pulled back forces you to own up to the true effort of it all…it’s all about that way that scarf wraps around though…

Hmmm….not sure about this one. I think an effort in the hair and makeup department would have made a big difference in pulling the look together. Even just some lipcolor would be great. She’s has a style though, and isn’t afraid to take risks. That’s admirable.

    the top is MJ right?

It looks good in real life, but plaid / checked is still too much of th 90s for me…!

eh. i don’t really like it. the top might be ok, but the combination with baggy and puke-colored pants i don’t like. i might pair this top with something more fitted and feminine on the bottom half to balance it out. the one thing i DO like – the gloves. they’re hot.

I’m definitely missing something here. Just looks like a baggy plaid top to me. I do like the long gloves with that length sleeve, though.

Am I missing something here or is this just an unflattering baggy plaid top?

Gemstone you are definitely missing something: those pants are incrediible, and well-complimented by that interesting top and scarf. I think this girl is so sure of her oustanding presence and beauty, and so comfortable in her own skin, that she made it a point not to wear any make-up. She’s letting her inate sense of style do all the talking, and boy is it just blarring on and on…
