As winter approaches there are a few photos from last year that I keep going back to for inspiration.
This image of a puffer vest layered under a coat was one of the first images I pulled. I have several puffer vests from Aspesi that work perfectly in this way. They are a thinner puff(?) and in great, rich colors that will work well with other monochromatic outerwear or even (more perfectly) with colorful tweeds or graphic patterned outerwear.

The vest is from the Japanese label 45rpm, I think from a year or two ago.

I don’t particularly like layering a puffer vest under a coat, it gives a really disproportional look. They look great individually though, Planning to wear some with thick sweaters!

I own a couple puffer vests but never wear them. I find them incredibly difficult to fit in conjunction with other pieces. I also hate how they seem to be most functional in a very narrow temperature range (for me) .

LOVE that the puffer jacket is the vest he’s wearing underneath, and it’s got such a great texture and color! LOVELY smile too.

I have to say every time I see a photo with layering, my mind automatically flips to my wardrobe and I start to think about what items I can layer with each other. My love of layering surfaces more with each photo. Fantastic!

As a woman, I’m attracted to men’s style. Cut, textures and colors are exactly what I like and I could wear every piece of this gentleman’s outfit, but maybe not together !

By puffer do you mean down? Either natural/synthetic…then but ‘puff’ you mean loft……diff quality/types/weights gives diff puffiness so look out for the specifications if buying online

Puffer vests remind me of my youth. We wore them in Michigan to keep warm. Now, they’ve finally become fashionable.
