isn’t it still sweltering in NYC? judging by the lookers on it’s still short pants and short sleeves weather….that makes this outfit a bit crazy. and crazy trumps cute right now in an economy of necessities.
So sad I’m not there for fashion week, it looks amazing!! Her outfit is quite unique, I appreciate the bold statement of mixing prints and her use of proportion. Very well assembled, although not entirely attractive.
I absolutely love this one. It has something new and fresh. It could be way too much and probably cause seizures to some people and headache to others, but still it blows my mind.
I love the top. I love the pants. But not together. This fascinates me: fashion rules are definitely meant to be broken. These rules serve the beginners; true fashion virtuosi can do what they want. So I know she’s stylish and I appreciate this ensemble, without personally liking it. I remember when tights were combined with open peep-toe shoes; I was horrified. But I wound up liking the look.
So I love seeing patterns combined to great effect. Here the patterns are too similar and has an “I’m seeing spots” effect, leading to a migraine. But I love the bold red lip, the little clutch, and electric blue toenails peeking from underneath the pants!
This dazzled me, literally. I think there is a perfect balance here. The patterns on the top is ‘heavier’ than those of the pants, the monochrome effect with a touch of green. Noticed the nail polish. Nice!!
Its the ease of the fit, the matching (yet note) graphic pattern and then the pop of colour in the clutch, nails and lipstick against the undone easy hair – i just want to look at her – love it x
After so many seasons of the skinny pant it is nice to see a different proportion. I know that mixing patterns may not be for everyone but here I think it is divine!
I’ve been looking at this picture several times today. I love the top and the trousers but, indeed, not together. They distract the eyes from her beautiful face. Still it has something special.
Greetings from Amsterdam
Lovin’ it. Crazy busy in pattern but it all meshes together. I’ll be looking for similar prints to do something similar. The little bag is making it all work for me, nice touch.
I just went to Paris’ FNO and loved it! I just moved here from California and am so impressed with the level of care and style in Paris. Here are my pics:
different. love the cut of the pants. to me this works because she is so beautiful and classy.. the red lips and green purse apsloutley make it. overall nice.
I love the blue toenails. In general the colors are terrific, but both the top and the pants look a bit bulky. I would wear one or the other. I think one would need to be an Amazon to carry off that much fabric.
oh god–this is fantastic. The combination of a geometric graphic and an almost tweed graphic pattern in the trouser is genius! She has found the perfect connection there and the clutch and polish is the crowning glory. Love it!
I love the outfit. The clutch and sweater are especially good, and of course the mixing of pattern and texture. To the person complaining that you think this girl is wearing too warm clothing; What is it with the weather police on this blog? How do you know she doesn’t stay in a very cold air conditioned office? How can YOU be the judge of what makes another person comfortable?? Its far more crazy to assume you know how a person feels, and where she spends her time and what temperature that place is. As for economy, its going to get colder, so I doubt that she is wasting money by going with things meant for fall/winter.
I love wide legged pants like that, the only thing I always wonder; Is there any really good way to wear them besides with high heels?
I like this, the mix of patterns, and I agree that mixing patterns is an art form, not for the faint hearted. This has a lot of gusto to it, which I appreciate after the colors of summer. Somehow it seems right to have prints right now which are black and white.
and it could not be a better one! i am not easily in awe, or i am not easily going to say: this is perfect from head to toe! but this is! how perfect can a styling be! the clash is insane, but the shape of the pants emphasizes this gorgeous creation. the cut of the sweater is one of the most phenomenal i have ever seen, it is beyond perfect. and yes, the cherry, that little clutch! the strips, the shape, the color! oh oh oh, i cannot stop staring. i don’t take easily something as an inspiration! but this is a look i just have to copy!
I LOVE the seemingly mismatched and crazy combination of all the patterns, textures, and colors! And that clutch? It’s such an unexpected pop of color but it works so well together with the prints! Upon first glance it seems a little intimidating almost, but when you look again it just works so well! So great!
I absolutely love this! it’s so daring and exciting! The combination of the textures, patterns, and colors is so unexpected but works perfectly! i love the pop of color from that amazing green clutch and her blue nails and red lips! so gorgeous!
So whence this rage for hiding the fact that women have an actual anatomy? Are we going to go back to covering the curvy legs of our dinner tables? Or shall we all move to Iran.
Lovely girl. The photo is all about the color zing of her clutch.
This is definitely a bold look. Although her she mixes the prints rather well, those pants seem to over take the outfit – yet she pulls it off. I think it definitely has to do with her confidence and beautiful face.

Her outfit: Amazing! That clutch: I want it!
She wears these piece so well! Normally, I wouldn’t go for such an extreme pattern, but she’s convinced me that it can work. (now that I’ve seen what I like put together).
Her clutch and nails are are a great idea.
thelocalblogger.blogspot.com
She is an attractive girl with an interesting style. However, I think this ensemble is too much. If she had paired the top with a pair or solid black pants w/ are more form fitting to her, I think she would have looked even better.
Phenomenal. Bold, beautiful choices, but I’m a sucker for interesting print. And Thursday wasn’t that hot (I wore a jacket) so a light, breezy sweater seems fitting. @mikey t, pairing the top with black form-fitting pants would make this so boring. It’s perfect as is. Dries van Noten is one of my fav designers, and I’ve never seen it composed this amazingly.

Wow, what a fabulous mixture of patterns, textures, with tiny touches of color. Very brave!. Love it!
