I was so happy to see perennial Sartorialist Fabrizio Rollo’s apartment in São Paulo featured in the December issue of Elle Decor.
Â
Everytime I see Fabrizio he’s telling me about his place. Â I knew it would be good, but I didn’t know it would be THIS good. Â The way he mixes colors and patterns reflects in his space as much as his clothing. Â It’s always so surprising and rewarding to see the depth of a friend’s creativity.

This dude ALWAYS looks dapper. Though I find his place to have too much going on – I like way less pattern in my home – I TOTALLY dig his space and would love it to visit.

With the mirrored wall, all those patterns feel a bit busy for me.

His place or better – his luxurious home – really has those commonly know brazillian prints :leopard , floral, and hints of bright green such as in the palm trees you can see in the back . It also has lots of details that note masculinity in an elegant way like in the painting in the center of the photo and the zebra rug. It contains both modern influences , pops of color, mixed prints, antigues and retro details so we can really conclude that , in order to have a stylish interior you must invest your lifetime in work.

There are beautiful things in this photo, but it looks so cluttered and claustrophobic, even! One’s eye has nowhere to rest.

Yes, I agree with “He seems to be VERY aware of what he wears!..”
I am drawn to people who are stylish, and natural, and who smile: In short they move spontaneously through our imperfect world. Life’s a ride! Sometimes I see people who live life as if it’s a string of moments…and it just…slows me down inside.

As for the outfit, it’s great to see someone rocking a club collar.

An hour in that apartment would drive me stark raving mad. But hey, it doesn’t have to make me comfy–it’s his space, and it clearly reflects and expands upon his aesthetic. So I give him props for creating a space that clearly works for him!

I love this room! So elegantly styled. This mix of old and new, the colors and patterns, masculine and exotic. I particularly love the blanket on the bed, the leopard pillows, the fifties standing lamps and the old framed painting.

What amazing he is ! His talent looks like with a little kind of some grandma and grandpa’s influence. Nothing more actually and original too . From this he gains universality.

i’m a little surprised with all the criticism of his apartment. it would be interesting to see how some of these naysayers live.
this reminds me of my first apartment in nyc: i thought it was cool, and so did most of my friends. then a new friend came along and described it as “funky,” and he didn’t mean it in a good way. LOL

I’ve not commented in quite a while, I’ve gotten sick of the silly “fashion” here. However this ook is so very nice, he dresses fantastically, very handsome. His apartment is wonderful. I love how he used the floating/hanging art to divide his space. Wonderful.

I sometimes wonder if I “decorate” a bit too much, and then I see this. I see the excess that some of you have commented on, but when you look closely, there’s not really that much there – there is a great amount of texture and pattern, and the reflection, the way the photo has been shot, makes it look much busier. It’s a great collection of beautiful things that this man no doubt loves, and loves to have around him – exactly what I do. Wonder if he did it or hired it done – hoping it’s his work – probably is considering how he dresses himself. Great job all around!
