Today is the debut of a new portrait series for The Sartorialist. I’ve wanted to add studio work to the blog for a while, and now that we’re in our new studio it’s finally the right time.
This is a series that I will shoot all over the world, and like my street work, I will focus on the intriguing people I meet on my travels.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed shooting it.

Gorgeous. Is it wrong that I’m jealous of the Domenico? How lovely would it be to serendipitously be a sitter for this new series? A girl can dream!

Yes, more please. I love black and white portraits. And this one in particular because between his beard, hair, and jacket, he’s salt and pepper magic. And what I wouldn’t give to have skin like his.

I’m very excited for this series–and what an auspicious start! The black and white brings this dapper character into sharp relief, and I’m intrigued by his hand art/tattoo! Can’t wait to see what portrait is next!

It’s already looking promising. I love this guy’s style, he looks so classic and refined until you see the tattoo on his hand. Hints at something a little wilder within him.

Would like to see contact sheets for Joan Rivers; she loosens up, attired properly, the thought is to touch on the ethereal.
