Over at Style.com my friend Dirk Standen did a great interview with Carine Roitfeld. I love that she speaks her mind and doesn’t hold back about the recent Paris Vogue situation and her relationship with Emmanuelle Alt. You can read it here.

I remember you posting this photo some two years ago? Thought it was fabulous then & still do. She definitely has magnificent style & a personality that is captivating. The interview was fabulous. A very well spoken & classy woman.
Have to admit that I do not see all the excitement over Ms.Alt as in my view, she has no personality or style. Time will tell…. no?

I actually thought it was pretty classless the way Carine spoke about Emmanuelle Alt. Carine had such an amazing run at Paris Vogue — why spoil it at the end with nasty comments? She should be passing the torch with style.

Must admit I read the interview looking for the dirty details of what happened at French Vogue. Alas, I was charmed by Ms. Roitfeld and no longer cared if there was a feud. I'm still curious of what she'll do next…embrace the Internet a bit, yes?

I really like the style "decontracte" of this interview. I am a reader of Vogue US, Vogue UK and Vogue Spain, occasionally Vogue Italia. I admire Carine's personality, less so her style. Even though I tried over the years to read French Vogue, I found tiring this "porno chic". E. Alt has been in that team for 10 years as well and the success of any enterprise is the success of team work and Alt was part of it, why do people think this was the work of 1 person only? I am looking forward to seeing Emmanuelle's direction and wish to both success in their future.
