Even though it’s Fashion Week, I can’t stop working on my next book. I’m now deciding which images will be paired together.
It’s interesting how some images really compliment others, even though they were shot years apart. This process is actually the most fun part of making a book.
While I was creating these sets I got an idea: why not let you guys in on the fun!
Think about image pairings that work based on their color, similarities or contrasts. Surprise me!
I’ve already come up with a lot of combinations so I’m sure we’ll overlap, but it’ll be great to see my work through a fresh pair of eyes.
-You can send a screen shot, combine images in a Word document, or send side by side in an email– They don’t have to be perfectly placed, as long as your idea comes across.
-The must be from the beginning of 2009 or later.
-They should be lo-res.
-Please send no more than your best 2 pairs.
To create a screen shot: hold down Command, Shift, 4 then move the cursor over your selection– It will save to your desktop, and you can email as an attachment.
Send images to: thesartorialist.pairs@gmail.com
Please send no more than two combinations. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

Ja ja ja! So funny, you try to make it sound like ‘found sharing’, but deep down you just want to make people work for you,
If you want the book to be really interesting, inlcude a selection of non published pictures -if you have any. No matter what you ass liking fans say, believe me, it is not that exciting to get a book of pictures you can find in the internet, for free.

The first combination looks incredible, but its also because the lighting and setting matches. On the other hand, im not so keen on the second combination.
Im not sure what it is, but I think it might be the lighting!! Its too strong on one, and not so much on the other one.
Im sure you can find another stripe-photo with similar lighting!! Good luck , its looking amazing anyways!!

For me personally I love the second combination. Its not as obvious, and has more life. The first one is nice, but really not as interesting as I would expect.

I would like to see the same/similar outfit interpreted for the opposing season. AKA a similar dress with sandles and hat for summer, and with stockings, boot, jacket etc for winter.

I think it’s interesting to get a peek into the process of making a book.
But not everybody is using a mac so your description of how to make a screenshot will not help windows users.
