I fit that intern position, except I already graduated…hate how most jobs are ‘credit-for-internship’ but respect it nonetheless

Wow, that’s a great opportunity for the lucky persons who end up getting hired! It will be fun to see how they will impact your blog. Would be really interesting to get a behind the scenes glimpse of “Sartorialist HQ” once the lucky two are in place :)

Scott – it must be gratifying for you to see how many of us fashion lovers all over the continent are having the same reaction – ah, if we only lived in NYC!

However, if you ever branch out throughout the US and Canada – you know where we are. Me, Charlotte, Angeles, Elise, Lilly, Carrie, CC …. and whomever else flips out and leaves a comment the way we did. :)

Not only do they need to be in college but they need all that experience too??? The purpose of an internship is to give college students experience in the workplace. Really, how do you expect a college student to be in school and have real world experience in PR or a fashion magazine? This is just unrealistic. You just dont want to pay for someones experience!!

    Hello,
It made me smile when I read the qualifications: impeccable communication skills, GPA… I enetered University of Washington with 3.74 GPA. This quarter I took three classes, and I failed two of them, and now my GPA is 2.03
It is funny, do you know, the way people request certain GPA. Give me a chance, and I would read 500 books a year; would learn four foreign languages a year; would write two books a year; would find twenty different people with icredible taste of fashion every day, but do not expect me to earn a 3.00 GPA or above because I do not like what I am doing. Do you get what I mean? GPA is not a sign of anything. If I were you, I would seek only one qualification and state it this way: apply to this job if you love fashion to death period

Sounds like an amazing opportunity, I wish I was slightly younger and less committed elsewhere! I find it somewhat hilarious a good portion of the above comments have neglected your requirement for impeccable written skills. I can’t decide which is better; Angeles or Fashion Guitar. Good luck in your search, there will certainly be no shortage and thank you for your images, they provide a perfect escape!

I don’t get the 3.00 gpa requirement there.

I am over 3.00 and I have no intentions to apply cuz i am in IT industry and I have a job. I’ve never seen a gpa requirement for internships in my domain. I thought fashion is much more inspirational….

The GPA thing is interesting… seems a bit rudimentary for an art based on light..

curious as to whether you are looking to fill the second assistant position as well?

  32. Rosa Luxembourg

What strikes me above is your pre requisite of four years of university studies. What you really need is a PA. Someone with experience within that domain would most probably be more helpful. I respect your work and education should be valued but is this the right context?

Why the need for a university degree? I’ve come across young photographers with more talent and skill in their left pinky than a majority of people who have spent 4+ years at university.
