I would have to agree; Scott your photos are brilliant. You have shot the looks in the best light possible even the audience look shrouded in darkness.
What a brilliant collection; wearable, relevant and refereced. I noticed someone else said that it has a French feel to it and I certainly would have to agree there. I love the use of embellishments and that skirt with the fringed eyelets – sensational! I would have like to have seen a slightly higher heel but I’m sure those kitten-wedges will fly off the shelves. I enjoyed the presentation and the fact that Christopher made alternative live music classy and sophisticated. Burberry A/W 2013 in three words: Kitsch, Cute and Feminine. Christopher is a genius with his finger on the pulse of current fashion culture.
There were some great, beautiful, wearable, timeless pieces in this collection, however I thought the production side – music, lighting, overall mood, and models, to an extent – didn’t really work.
You really do take such great shots, especially those of the details up close, like the skirt….my favourite is definitely the look Karlie Kloss wore! But the white dress comes close too. Great collection!
Amazing collection! Love the colors and textures. The see-through coat and the one with the splashes look so fantastic with the more fall-ish leopards and burgundies. Really great! I also love the flats and stacked heels. They add a vintage touch that somehow looks very modern now.
I love Christopher Bailey for his audacity … it takes a bold designer to send a collection down the runway that is practical and simultaneously reverent of the feminine mystique. I am in love with those darling kitten heels and the magical little embellishments on these pieces. Trust me, a woman does not have to teeter around in platforms all day to feel sexy and confident. This, ladies and gentlemen, is what makes Burberry a powerhouse. Cheers!
I was distracted by the front row. Did I recognize Michelle Dockery and Melanie Laurent ?
Great collection and the shoes, especially the leopard kitten heels are exactly the ones Id like to wear…..if I could afford them !
