Burberry Fall 2006

Maybe I have been looking at too many photos of Lapo Elkann but I’m starting to feel for the DB suit again.
Plush velvet for day, if you have the right job…..why not?
It takes skill to be able to use a weighty fabric and still be able to cut a very slim coat.
I love the “Flea Market Luxe” of this look.

this is my Fav. from their collection:

I said this in a GQ Forum, that I really think this is a good example of how too many patterns can actually be pulled off to look good. I guess this is an exception to the rule.
They almost compliament one another. I am a little hesitant about the belt, but it’s quirkyness actually grows on you. It makes a bold statement, but doesn’t scream attention.

    Classic.

I like it better sans the “Flea Market Luxe” coat.

Is it me, or do the faces look really pale?

I really like the brown shoes on the bottom-most model.

If you want a great array of Lapo pics, Google his name “Lapo Elkann” and then click on images on the top of the page. There are 750 photos of him over the years, study them carefully you will learn why people are so impressed with his sense of style.
