I love both of these for different reasons (those legs in the second shot are hard to ignore!!) but in common, they are both simple and unadorned. Beautiful.
interesting body language on the 2nd photo – I think that arm across looks like she’s trying to protect/ defend herself. Maybe she feels exposed in that short skirt?
indian summer? toronto can’t believe what you in nyc can get away with at this time of year…its hot today but it’s been very cool lately…i already miss the bare legs of summer…thanks for the reminder :)
Concerning the LONG of it, notice how her round sunglasses accentuate the cut of the dress around her breasts. In a way her sunglasses mirror the round cut of the dress. Lovely and very feminin. Love it.
Girl 1:The top part of her dress falls too low.Otherwise she looks fun.Girl2:She has lots of stuff in the top part, but the dress is too short for her. I wish she wore real shoes.
just out of curiosity, where these pictures taken this week or earlier in the summer?
it has been pretty “fall-like” here in nyc, so i would imagine that if these were taken within the past few days, both ladies would be a little chilly.
the second woman is obviously not very comfortable in either the length of the dress or the whole outfit which is a shame, really. i like the way the silver shoes pop against her black mini but i don’t think the belt was all that necessary. i’m not a big fan of the bag, either. she’s trying to play match up with the belt and bag but i think if she did a silver bag to enhance the shoes the whole outfit would fall together much more nicely.
She is beautiful so she can get away with anything, but I hate those shoes with short skirts. They look like those 50′s movies of roman soldiers. I can’t get over it. I prefer heels with my laces.
Love the first dress but I really don’t like the look in the second (tee hee to the person who said that short skirts with those sandals remind him/her of 1950s movies with Roman soldiers). The reason that I don’t like the second look is that I can’t stand the “I sat out and tanned” look. Without the tan she’d be stunning and natural. With the tan I find the look tacky.
wow. most women i know can’t pull off floor-length dresses, but the cut of it on that first beautiful lady looks spectacular! (not to mention i love her hair)
the silver toga thongs need more dimension on the sole..too flimsy for her strong profile. minor point i guess given how strong she presents, but on a static photo it was the first thing i noticed
#1 lovely dress. black and long for summer, done well, though i feel like a purse/accessory with a little color would suit the summery style a little better. but it’s all about black and white right now, huh. that woman should never let her hair grow long with a graceful neck like that.
#2 the detailing at the hem and neckline is what it’s all about. that woman is muscular! kudos to her that she can wear ankle-tied flats without it stumpifying her legs. as for her body language, i’m fairly certain her intention was to display her accessories, but it does seem to make her look a little tense and guarded. i’m gonna miss summer, but this black/summer trend is a creative way to segue into fall.

beautiful women, but I do´t like that slosh hair with just a parting in the middle, so style less, maybe sexie but no style.

I love the contradiction between the black dress and the delicate white shoes in the second shot.
I love a little muscle on the legs and those are a pair to behold!

Both dresses are TO DIE FOR! I need them. But I question the choice of bag in the second shot . . . is it green?
In any case, with legs like that she could get away with murder.

#1 looks more fresh and up-to-date w/ her short hair. (after having mine chopped, i’m finding that long hair is boring, and just plain tired.)
