a dark pallet for summer worn in an easy yet determined way which indicates the easy yet more thoughtful ideas of the bearers. specifics as rolled shorts ends, watches, bag, sunglasses emphasize as well as compliment the picture which is finally rendered as more of an urban everyday outfit due to the body posture of both .
Both outfits are perfect lengths for the short and the attire compliments the overall look. I might have exchanged the heavy shawl sweater with an over the shoulder v neck or light cardigan. But still, both subjects look dashing and you captured the essence as you always do!
everything about the first look is perfect. also, I disagree with the comment that shorts and a cardigan should not be worn together. the sleeves are rolled and the cardigan is left open. he looks so relaxed.
I cannot begin to express my love for both these pictures! I love them in so many ways for so many different reasons! They are so inspiring! The second picture..I love the length of his shorts and his boat shoes and his bag! His attitude of "I am too cool for society" is definitely displayed and it is part of what I like about it! The first picture…I love how the short are rolled up a bit and how he has white ked type sneakers and especially his very comfy looking cardigan! Love it! check out my trendy blog! http://thetrendydwarf.blogspot.com/
I like the looks, but I've never understood the whole sweater with shorts thing. Either you're burning up hot with that sweater on or your legs are freezing with the shorts. It being August, I suspect the former.
Shorts that are too tailored and too "tight" look funny. They look uncomfortable and they look like underwear. I'm not advocating wearing baggy shorts that go lower than the knee but the guy in the second photo doesnt look very appealing.
it all seems for effortless for the gent in the first photo. He doesn't seem to mind, or realize, that he's contradicting himself in his outfit but he knows he looks damn good. I think thats the perennial quality in fashion. aesthetic over practicallity.
~love both looks. i love the cuffed shorts on the first and the how the short fits on the second.. i am always a fan of tailored, i love how the second picture brings coolness over trims.. a stunning way to show legs.
Oh please all this sartorial twitter about shade, cut, contrasts… the only reason they look great is that both of these guys are SMOKIN (and yes on literally is ) …. they would look great is sack cloth…
Wow, the first one was amazing. I was like, damn i want that outfit.. and i pretty much had all the pieces in my wardrobe xcept the shorts.. Cutted a grey Junk De Luxe Chinos i havent worn at all this summer into a pair of shorts.. and now i have another outfit ^^
The loose fit of the first guy is perfection!!! In fact he should give me his outfit, that cardigan and shorts combo looks so soft and snuggly, just need heels, say Ann D boots. Oh and that would leave the guy in his pants? Im totally ok with that ;-) http://fashionpearlsofwisdom.blogspot.com/
I really like the nonchalance yet very stylish look of both. I would wear both of the outfits, right now actually!! I really like the sweater, it can get cool in the summer in the mornings and evenings and I really like wearing long sleeve pullovers and sweaters with the shorts. Most men wear baggy shorts, I like the fitted ones.
You always manage to find such gems. Then again you are in a more fashionable city than Nashville is. Most of the guys who wear shorts here are… well, my mother told me if I didn't have anything nice to say…
The first man has one of the most seductive looks I have ever seen pictured here.
Just a practical note regarding the cardigan and short combo… for eastcoast summers with indoor airconditioning the cardigan is a MUST to go from indoors to out (I'm wearing this combo in my office right now).
both pairs of shorts are very well paired with minimalist footwear (esp. the deck shoe/sneaker hybrid in the second shot). that said, would love to know the exact combination of day-time weather conditions that facilitated the donning of a heavy cable-knit sweater and light cotton shorts…
People in Scott's photos usually wear lots of clothes. So I'm glad to see two guys with just a few simple pieces on – and it looks great, especially the second one! You just have to make the right choices.
Ahhh, wearing your favourite cardi in the summer can be good but I think by the looks of the first one, it might be a touch sweaty! I'm forever umming, and erring over what to wear in the summer when it is hot, layers can be too much in hot weather….kewl tho…
The first look, the guy was also photographed in Jak and Jill, he is divine . . . he is perfect in every sense possible. The cardigan adds more volume on the top to balance the narrow cut shorts, it's unexpected but refined all at the same time. Love.
I like the overall look of the second photo best. I'm not sure my legs look good enough for these. And what about socks? I like socks, and I don't mean ankle socks. Could some socks work with shorts like these or do you have to go with out? Would slim argyle be too much? Probably so. Don't laugh at me…
I really don't understand what is so goo about the first look.
to me, the sweater looks much to think to ever be paired with shorts. And I have a huge problem with the fact that the shirt and shorts so are the same color, and almost look as if he is wearing a unitard.
