The first and second outfits (especially the 2nd) look a little young for the lovely ladies pictures. I agree that they are both very thin and in great shape, but that still doesn’t mean (in the case of the 2nd) that you should wear a miniskirt that short in public…
Doesn’t matter “who she is.” The comment was made from an aesthetic perspective, not from a celebrity perspective. The rules apply to all.
That said, I love that she wore those shoes in public! (Not as crazy about the dress, though.)
If scary skinny is “hot”, well I suppose she is “smoking hot”, yeah right. Arms and legs that skinny don’t lie. When I see a lot of girl here, I tell myself “they should be so hungry, poor women”, and at this age, she should get over it. –Nothing against the work that is done by a very good photographer, of course.
Well, if you know ADR, you know that she legitimately wears anything and everything, and cares little about people’s aesthetic perspectives or ageist fashion “rules.” And besides, she’s Italian! ;)
I always thought that the very idea of street style is to dedicate itself to the beauty and creativity of fashion that can be found with people like you and me, and not to rely on names and reputations like established magazines always did. Maybe this has changed. Still, to justify an outfit with a name – however well-known – feels oddly misplaced here.
if it doesn’t look good, it does not matter who she is.
Yes. I know who ADR is. I like her, I respect her confidence and individual style. But my sense of aesthetics suffers, what can I do?… I adore all kind of freaks and even this freaky heels but THEY’re the center of the picture. Not Anna….
I get that she’s Anna, but sometimes I get the vibe from the “Emperor Wears No Clothes”, considering how many people consciously celebrate her. Seriously. That being said, I love her confidence and attitude. We should ALL wear whatever the heck we want! And although I’d never ever wear them, I kinda dig the shoes. I absolutely adore the skirt in the 3rd pic!
I agree. I actually thought “Emperor’s New Clothes” too. It doesn’t matter who you are, a true opinion is worth more than empty compliments. I would much rather have someone kindly tell me it just isn’t working than have people chuckling behind me or in the safety of their offices.
Love the first pic, reminds me of a cross between ginger and baby spice. Love it :)
The second pic, those shoes aaaaaaaaargh! make her feet look huge, but at least it takes my eyes away from the rest of the outfit . Shave some lines into them though, and they would be great for wimbledon.
I try my best, but I dont understand socks in menshoes, hairy pumps and too big sweater… I am probably hopeless in thinking, that all should work together in an outfit. Or too old now… :-)
