a beautiful set, mr. schuman. appreciate the choice of b&w. i very rarely comment but follow the blog every day. i would like to say that i love your work – inspiring, thoughtful, personal. i think all the more so because of your character and integrity that come through in a scene where superficiality and hype can easily darken the shot. i don’t mean to be negative – i love clothing, fashion, am constantly searching and discovering how to place the beauty of the colors and lines and textures we wear into appropriate context in the life we live. your perspective has added to the journey in a gentle yet distinct way. thank you!
Scott, you really have a talent to take black and white portraits. You know how to playwith lights and shadows and make the pictures even more interestingly mysterious.
Love black and white !
olala…this looks a lot like some italian film noir classic. impressive. you’re having a creative flow lately, don’t you? not just fashion, these are some quality shots from the art corner! love it.
OMG! Tim Blanks in the last photo! I’m still reeling from the wave of nostalgia that brought me back to several years of watching “Fashion File” on CBC television. He is one of the reasons why I loved fashion so much as a teenager, and still do today. I identified him immediately – Thank you for always having such amazing photos, but today…. extra special.
Ahh, the textures in each photograph! The stark lighting really accentuates them well, especially in black and white. When I saw this, the pictures as a whole seemed to scream, “murder mystery party!” Really great and different hairstyles as well.
