I agree. It’s almost as if the top half has an elegant, casual sophistication, and the bottom half is casual grunge. So often the juxtaposition of different ‘styles’ in the one outfit works well, but this doesn’t. However, the second photo’s outfit works really well.
Losing babies or morhtes is one thing I have thought about when wanting to go into the obstetrics field. I actually had a not so great experience with my daughter’s delivery and was told the baby in the room next to me had died. I have always wondered what would make a nurse tell me that while in labor, but it does remind me of some of the obstacles I could face. I think that is something we all have to face no matter what specialty we choose.
love the optics of both looks – but these sandals in the first picture: what temperature do you have in London in february that it is an option to wear super light summer shoes…? should clothes not offer a certain amount of comfort, even and espcecially for style icons?
The second look makes more sense, and is more edgy. lots of character there!
