This mish-mash of fur is not working for me (nothing political, i’m not anti-fur and i think re-cycling old fur is a good thing) but that clutch is fantastic and i like her large ring worn over gloves. French women do chic detail like no-one else!
Now this is a very striking look. First of all, the wonderfully androgynous head–this could be a beautiful young man, or a handsomely mannish woman. And this impression is oddly intensified by the jacket, which–instead of looking cropped, with 3/4 sleeves–looks as though it were too small on the beautiful young man. Then we notice the architectural clutch, and especially the chunky ring worn on top of the glove. A self-presentation that seems designed to raise questions, to disturb assumptions. Reminding us that fashion is both a matter of conformity AND invention/difference.
I like the short length of her jacket and the ring over the glove. When I was little, I thought that was SO glamorous and I might start doing it myself.
I’d be really curious to see what the watch she was wearing underneath the glove looked like. Don’t suppose you got a detail shot of it, did you Sart? Even covered up by the glove, you can tell that big, solid square works with the clutch and patch jacket.
I keep looking and looking at the calm confidence and good will in her face. A zoom view shows crow’s feet. Why do so many women botox this character away? I like the playfulness of her fur.
My goodness, Sart, this is a splendid shot. She is quite beautiful. I love her hair. Not only is she wearing a wonderful fur coat, but she has taken off a glove to reveal black-painted nails. I feel strangely drawn to her.
i love her clutch, her ring and hairstyle (although her hair looks like it was “sculpted”?) i don’t know how the jacket fits into any of this. but what matters is that she has a beautiful face without makeup.
She’s a lovely woman with “I know stuff” eyes and an elegant bone structure (note her bare forearm), but I wish her hair was a little softer in style, lighter in color.
She makes it look so effortless. She is so comfortable in her own skin
I love the beautiful clean face; love the mix of the browns in the fur with the grey sweater and gloves. I love how soft and easy the fur is, Alber manages to make a fur coat light with a great ‘throw away’ attitude.
The only thing that bothers me here is the peek of her sweater sleeve on her left arm (it seems to be pushed up on the right arm. I would have preferred sleeves short enough under the coat not to show, also so that one can appreciate that her lovely grey gloves are long ones. As for the ring, I’ve noticed little girls’ gloves with a “ring” sewn on one finger. Solves the problem of taking off a glove with a ring over it…
her face is utterly timeless. it’s like she could be wearing anything else below the chin and she’d look equally stunning. what a life, simply born with the perfect accessory.
(and then, of course, bonus cred for the amazing clutch, ring-over-glove, and the enormous watch it looks like she’s wearing under the glove. badass.)
She doesn’t look like she pulled that look out of a magazine, or off of a runway. It’s all her, including her beautiful face. That is what personal style is all about!
It makes me miss my lost glove thin enough for me to slip my ring over. I ADORE the clutch, it’s Amazing, and the long sleeve peaking out from beneath the coat is a chic finish.
I don’t like the layering, with that long sleeved shirt poking out over the gloves. I think it would be better with just the long gloves disappearing under the coat. Ring detail is fantastic though, and I wish we could see that watch!
I love her androgenous face and gentle look but the jacket and bag leave me unimpressed. Love the gloves with the ring – it probably doesn’t fit without the glove!! She’s a really nice person – it’s all in her eyes….
I know her !!! She is the director of the Lanvin shop in Monaco and, of course, the Fur and the Clutch (and everything eslse) is from Lanvin collections :) Thanks for all the comments about her and our brand (I work there too !!!)
The coat looks like something someone made in Home Ec. Not good. I’m, frankly, shocked at the approval here. If the woman weren’t so chic and no one knew who the designer was…. Well, it looks Thrift Shop. And, not a good Thrift Shop, either. One in Cincinatti.
I do like the gloves, the jersey shirt, her hair and most of all The Smile.
I love it when men and women cut their hair short and away from their face to accentuate their face. This woman took it further and is wearing little or no makeup. The face tells the story, not hair style, makeup or designer glasses. Rather than stand back and admire, you are drawn to them.
And, hey, cavemen wore fur because of necessity and where would we be without the cavemen? Did I really say that?? LOL!!
Anyway, the gloves and the ring nail the outfit. It’s nonchalant and chic.
Details : CLUTCH+ RING + knitted gloves are perfect. I would prefer she weras the watch on her gloves. It would have been awesome. I like this mix and match of couture and casual wear. I guess she is iatalian: regarding the hairstyle, the furcoat… Congratulations Lady Brigade de la Mode Paris
there are a lot of lovely things happening in this image but i just can’t get over her gorgeous grey gloves. perfect length, and thin enough to wear a stunning cocktail ring over. i love it.
I love her hair. Also her face is gorgeous. What I would call a “handsome” beauty. The absence of botox is refreshing. She could wear a brown paper sack and be beautiful.

Being a Brit, where there is a huge anti-fur brigade, I probably shouldn’t be confessing to this – but, I absolutely adore that jacket.

I love how the jacket and bag use the same “patchwork” concept in different materials. Great photo, ditto Argylian, Florence. More creative mixing.
