The middle pic – the woman taking a picture wearing combined patterns is by FAR my favourite. Love the action, the boldness of the patterns.
I am very drawn to style based on creativity than style based on labels. Don’t get me wrong: I appreciate the quality of the Loub boots and fancy handbag in the first pic, but I’ve always felt a bit alienated by the price tags.
I also like the shot of the woman and man with motorcycle – the style again, seems “organic” and incidental.
The rest of the photos, I do appreciate the outfits very much, but all suggest something contrived – even the amazing Caroline Issa.
I absolutely agree: what I think of as aesthetic style is the most interesting to me because it evolves from a differentiated sensibility more than from labels. and so has a freshness lacking in the more designer-driven looks. The lively photographer has the visual chops to work a great color palette and pattern mix with complete confidence. She’s just great.
