Great footage Garance! D & G is really pulling out all the stops for this coming fall, oh how I love them. I was hoping for a peek at Madonna, was she there? Love your behind the scenes shots as well as the show. Incredible color palette this year, something for everyone.
I love these types of videos. For some reason it inspires me to continue on in hopes that I'll one day be in that type of position where I can get some personal footage to share and inspire some young 20something. : )
The dangling toys on key chains as accessory is brilliant and a true testament to D & G's careful observation of the world around them…people SOO have little stuffed bears on their keys!
The repeated punctuation of that flutey voice exclaiming "Oh, wow!" in an Italian accent just cracks me up. (And love LOVE the velvet blazer/vest combo we get a teensy glimpse of.)
Intrigued/entertained by the latest post's they made me think of |Scot's comment the other week about how how the show's will eventually be streamed live on line. One might add that the show's will then be 'edited' by the likes of Garance taking the myth making inherent in style and fashion to a whole new level/format.
P.S.This clip I believe needs to be considered 'inter textually' with Scot's 'cinematic picture' of the guy in Milan. When you do that you can begin to imagine just where these two talented people can take the realm of representation and style.
The "Selbu-rose", used in many of these creations, was apparently invented by Marit Emstad (born 1841) from Selbu in Norway. She knitted her first mitten with the pattern all over when she was 16. I'm sure she would have been tickled pink by the way the Rose has found a new way (wave?) in fashion :-) Ingrid
those dresses were nice! but nothing we haven't seen before. i personaly don't like D&G because most of there clothes looks very industrial(in a cheap way) they take one theme and over do it.
This line was incredibly disconnected. the knitwear (which I found cheap looking) clashed magnificently with the chiffon long dresses and shirt pieces. It should have been either-or, but never the twain shall meet.
wow an amazing video . not JUST the fashion it's so well filmed , that means art for me . especially the beginning was great with the sound of music getting louder , focusing on the bag ,the people before the show and stuff. ahh just great :)
I agree with katyE and most of all I want those boots! Those beautiful, white flouncy unbelievably weightless looking dresses and the juxtaposition of the definite black weight of the bow. Dreamy! Also get so excited when I see footage that reflects the pace and anticiption of the event. Hooooooooooooo Eeeeeeeeee! It's enough to send you on a shopping frenzie!
