Finally, I get to announce Garance’s new column in Paris Vogue! It premieres in the new, redesigned September issue.

Some of you may remember that Garance had a chance to work with Paris Vogue a few years ago, and she struggled with whether or not to accept the position at that point. She was still creating the voice of her blog and we were both afraid that stepping away from it in any capacity would have hurt that development in the long run.

However, good things come to those who wait, and Garance now will have her own column, and is allowed the freedom to write, shoot, illustrate, really use all of her creative forces, to share her very honest point of view on fashion and life as she lives it.

It’s been so rewarding to see Garance struggle and achieve over the last three years to grow at the rate that was right for her and fine tune her artistic voice to become the most unique and precise on the internet, and now in print!

Congratulations to Garance! Vogue should count itself very lucky to have someone so talented and beautiful writing for them and for all its readers. As always, whenever I click on the Sartorialist, I never come away empty-handed, whether it’s a beautiful image, a lovely story, a poignant comment…but this time the story of Garance waiting, developing her voice…and also the story of your creative supportive partnership. It’s not everyday you see a keen, creative, handsome, charismatic artist/photographer supporting his equally gorgeous, creative, amazing, talented partner. in other words, it’s not everyday you have a great guy supporting his fabulous girl. I love it! Wishing you both joy and continued success in all your endeavors.

Congrats to Garance. Saying no to Vogue the first go-round, who does that? Must be gratifying to have a vision so strong that it allows you to stand strong in your convictions.
