Ha–talk about a picture being worth a thousand words. You definitely made your point. These shots are fab–I wonder what she thinks of ‘em. Also love her dress in that second pic.
She’s really special. I appreciate the subtle humor in each look. Those cheeto-colored glasses with the incredibly feminine lace dress, those funky little kid bloomers, and the African-inspired polka-dot print. So great.
I appreciate your including a few words of explanation with each photo. There is some value in letting a picture speak for itself, but I personally don’t always hear it properly without a little help.
Lets just take a minute to appreciate her amazing style……….. Ok, how that we got that out of the way – im really starting to get inspired to pick up my nikon, and to put down my iphone =)
This is Scott doing what he does best. And its wonderful to see. As for Garance, I never really get her blog, but I am sure she can do whatever she likes there. Not here, however, I hope.
its very yoga of her to offset the camera with some counter balance. i do a lot of crouching with 1 leg stuck out. anyway, her legs are perfect for those bloomers!
These wonderful pictures make me desire to buy a reflex and start shooting picture in Milan (even if I don’t have the long legs of the beautiful lady in the first picture!)
xoxo S’Notes blog http://snotes4milan.blogspot.com/
i usually find your pictures illuminating and inspiring. ‘all the pretty photographers’ just seems patronizing. pretty? pretty skinny is more relevant. i do hope you move on…
We love your blog is wonderful and we are always checking the news here.
We wish you a great weekend.
Super Glorinha kisses. http://sbrincos.blogspot.com
On the contrary i am still very much enjoying the photographers – that first shot is amazing and she is a style lesson in flats – what more could you want for the weekend? x
I’m not tired of the photographers. But I am amazed at how many of them there are out there. Sure different than when I was in the rag trade in the 70′s and 80′s.
Seriously…..what’s with the everlasting lean back? One could also just take a step back, and have a steady position to get a shot in….this is completely uprooting your stance…..
This is my favorite of the series by far! Her style is wonderful, and her unselfconscious way of shooting makes her stand out from other “pretty girls with cameras”.
I can’t help noticing that the majority of your subjects are all skinny and toned and it seems likely that they are tall – very model-like. In your opinion do thin people have the monopoly on style — I don’t see many plumper people on your site.
Can I say something controversial? I thinks she looks really awkward and ungainly, not at all elegant, the angle her body makes look ungraceful. Plus, she’s far too thin and it looks unnatural, not easy on the eye.
You can say it. And its hardly controversial. Almost any time you see a slender woman with long legs you will get the usual women who do not like to be reminded what fit women look like. Do you notice how totally agile, energetic and healthy she is by these pictures? Yes. Then as she is healthy, she is not too thin. As for the other negative stuff, then thats your opinion. But let me remind you that it isn’t any less nasty to say someone is too thin then it is to say they are too fat.
I just read the comment above, but I WAS ALREADY going to write how odd they all have the same handbag, seemingly, and maybe the same camera, but love the pics
This series is so wonderful! I think the first picture is my favourite, I love her outfit, body language and man- I wish I had that type of line in my thigh!
A beautiful job done.
Nice shots.
Not sure about the “shorts” in the first photo though. Although she has beautiful legs, I think those types of shorts only look good on my two year old.
I love the shorts in the first picture! So cute! And the way she matched them with the shoes and that shirt is just unique! They are something completely different. Great style, and she brings it out more when she takes these pretty poses. Simply a wonderful style.
I love these shots! I took so many photos of her at PFW because I loved her outfits, especially the last one – so happy and carefree (as she was frantically running around outside Christian Dior – kind of loved the juxtaposition even if I was the only one thinking about it)
Love the photos. What is girl in first photos wearing? Strange. Looks like something you would see on a baby. I especially love the photo of the girl in the white lace dress. That is lovely. And love the turquoise shoes in the third photo.
This is actually fascinating, You are a very skilled doodlekit. I have joined your own feed and look toward looking for more of your wonderful post. Also, I have shared your site in my internet sites!
Canon DSLR cameras with L lenses are the ONLY way to go for the ultimate image quality! Sure, they’re heavy, but I bet they’re not tourists, so…. Nice to see women in Europe using manly cameras, and not those 4/3 toys.
I guess the picture 1 and 2 are the same girl ..same pink bracelet and same brown bag and she is definitely a flat shoes lover ..or just a practical woman..who knows ? ” magique “
I found the second picture posted on Pinterest and have spent the last hour trying to track down that dress. It is absolutely gorgeous! Does anyone have the faintest idea where it’s from?
Like a few other commenters, I’m in love with that lace dress and I’ve been trying to track it down since I saw it on Pinterest. Anyone know the designer?

Can I say something controversial? I thinks she looks really awkward and ungainly, not at all elegant, the angle her body makes look ungraceful. Plus, she’s far too thin and it looks unnatural, not easy on the eye.
Martine
July 28, 2012 at 1:05 am
You can say it. And its hardly controversial. Almost any time you see a slender woman with long legs you will get the usual women who do not like to be reminded what fit women look like. Do you notice how totally agile, energetic and healthy she is by these pictures? Yes. Then as she is healthy, she is not too thin. As for the other negative stuff, then thats your opinion. But let me remind you that it isn’t any less nasty to say someone is too thin then it is to say they are too fat.

This series is so wonderful! I think the first picture is my favourite, I love her outfit, body language and man- I wish I had that type of line in my thigh!
A beautiful job done.

Flat shoes – always a good idea when working and running around! And they look good when you wear them properly.

Yoga bunny, got to be. “Ambitious shoulders”–awesome phrase. She’s not too thin, she’s toned and strong and sexy. And not wearing dumb shoes.

Nice shots.
Not sure about the “shorts” in the first photo though. Although she has beautiful legs, I think those types of shorts only look good on my two year old.

Omg,absolutely love such kind of photos! It’s always very interesting to see the man behind the camera, cause they always tend to stay in the shadow of their own photos!I remeber how one women in the streets of New York actually didn’t recognise you.If I’m right,it was a moment in one of the youtube videos abou your day.

I love the shorts in the first picture! So cute! And the way she matched them with the shoes and that shirt is just unique! They are something completely different. Great style, and she brings it out more when she takes these pretty poses. Simply a wonderful style.

In the 1960 years in the socialisme every baby and toddler was wearing bib shorts named “sundress” just like in the top picture. Funny.

Canon DSLR cameras with L lenses are the ONLY way to go for the ultimate image quality! Sure, they’re heavy, but I bet they’re not tourists, so…. Nice to see women in Europe using manly cameras, and not those 4/3 toys.

Like a few other commenters, I’m in love with that lace dress and I’ve been trying to track it down since I saw it on Pinterest. Anyone know the designer?
