The first picture looks like a pair of jorts one would see on a middle aged man at a suburban shopping mall in July. The second looks like a uniform for a hospital radiation tech. Bleck!!!
I love overalls of all sorts, and this is very neat. Both on Garance and on the model. But I am not sure what I think of the low waist, low crotch thing. I definitely like it here. Especially on the runway. I love the one piece thing .And its brilliantly paired with those hooflike shoes.
Ok, these girls are gorgeous. And this trend is not. Why wear jeans/jumpers that don’t have any shape? It makes her backside look so long and big – if this was in project runway, all the judges would say “what were you thinking?!” So no, I don’t like it. Great shots, though
Project Runway is fairly absurd, so its not really anything to compare to. If you are going to state an opinion, then just make your own. Not theirs. And why do women always think they HAVE to define their waist to be “flattering”??? Its because they are brainwashed or else its some sort of way to prove that you are sound breeding stock. This look is VERY graceful. The fact that some people don’t get it is perfectly fine. I am not convinced, but there is nothing ugly here at all.
I love the first outfit, but the second one is… meh. The colors in the first photo are amazing- I love her jacket, and the shorts actually look unique and interesting.
Is that Garance in the first shot? She has the most amazing legs, I’d spot them anywhere. Like those pants she’s wearing more than I like the second photo it’s a good look
Big & drapey can work nicely, especially when one is sick to death of clothes that look like they were spray-painted on. This looks takes–and projects–a certain insouciance and confidence, and that’s always attractive.
This is probably the least flattering thing that can be done to a woman’s backside. Why is it on this blog? And an aside to Garance–you beautiful, beautiful woman, why is it ever on you?
I really like the top look, but would prefer the bagginess dialed back just a bit. The jacket and peek of denim shirt looks great. No, no and some more no on the second shot. And I’m all about the jumpsuit, but I think this one is tragic.
I LOVE the green jacket in the first photo. The shorts are ok, inoffensive if unflattering. The second image – don’t really get it. Derek Jarman did overalls so elegantly – he was beyond cool.
Big back pockets ( and front) on denim
are functional:
just want to stuff ‘em full of paint brushes, china markers, conte crayaons, pastels, charcoals, a chamois rag…
Really love both pics. The blue jumpsuit is so playful with those giant pockets- a remnant from a different era of history placed thoughtfully on that designer outfit. Engages the mind and the eye. Good spotting Scott.
I’m looking for a nice digital camera under or around $200 for the purpose of blogging (as in wordpress, blogger, etc). I’m trying to get a blog which will be based around the daily photos I take despite the fact that I’m not really a photographer but only doing it for fun. Any cool features like video would also be great but mainly I’m just looking for something I can take quality pictures, and that will hopefully hide my total amateur abilities. . . Thanks guys!.
Its more flattering then tight squeezed buttocks forced into skinny jeans. In fact I think it is very sexy to have clothing that is oversized. I have to say the green jacket does nothing for me. The top picture makes the lady look square, but the second picture flows. It looks long and lean. Believe me, showing off your curves is not nearly as flattering as people think. besides, are people not tired of tight, tight tight clothing?
