I love your blog and have been a reader for some years now and think what you do is great! However I can’t help noticing, where has the ‘sartorial’ part gone? Where are the Lapo’s, the Lino’s, the Caraceni suits and Cleverley shoes? I miss this aspect very much!
Oh, me too! Two pairs: a claret reddish pair and the other in a steely blue. Oh, those soles! I used to wedge the groove at the edge of the little metal tray underneath my school desk. I must have!
I had 2 pairs of mocassins with similar rubber soles when I lived in Denver in the 90′s. With socks, they were the best for isolating my feet from the freezing ground. Love them with narrow pants.
I used to have a pair of brogues like these in the 90′s, but intead of laces they had black ribbon running through the lace holes. It is so interesting to see things come around again with a slight twist. Probably should have kept them. :)
Prada always seems to teeter between the artful and the ugly. Their clothes seem to be an open challenge to those who wear them. ‘You must endure square cuts, unflattering proportions, dull browns and greys’

I must say, I have bought many Prada shoes through the years, but this was the worst I’ve seen…
Call me old fashioned, but shoes should look like below:
