LOVE IT
So fresh and playful, yet the structured shape of the sport coat keep the look from becoming too casual or ‘kooky’
Loved that the printed coats are paired with more ‘somber’ accessories
Perfect balance between frivolous and serious
Is the first gentleman, Mr Kinoshita ? Great video for J. Crew.
His sense of style is impeccable and his grey hair adds a subtile touch of elegance. He can wear anything and make it work !
One other trend featured in this New Trend post that needs mention. Did you notice the hairstyles? Very low side partings, and tightly tailored neck lines that work in harmony with the shirt collars and light weight jackets. It’s a sharp style on these gents. Fantastic to see together…good stuff!
Maria
YES!!! Very cool. Finally! The man in the blue print jacket looks sharp. The man in the pink, green, and white print jacket is dazzling! I love both their smiles. Their fashion choices make me smile, too!
I love the look! It’s fun and unusual in a classic/preppy sort of way. AND I love the glasses! I have been wearing my Ralph Lauren Purple Label ones, and I don’t care they’re meant to be for men…I just love the old-school look they have!!
Loving those small-scale printed blazers – specially the one on Takahiro! Is that from the new Prada FW12 collection? The print looks just like it but can’t quite decipher. Nonetheless it’s amazing with how he paired it and everything!!
The second shot has a Modern Day Lily Pulitzer vibe. I wish the fabric on both blazers were a little less wrinkly, though they are still fun to look at.
Really, I can’t get theses glasses… maybe because it goes extremely wrong in my bone structure, but I don’t see why people use it, seems out of place. But the jackets are awesome! Would definitely use the second one.
Attention aux trends, tout depends de la taille de Monsieur avec les sportcoats tres fleuriés. Vous pouvez passer de pieton en pyjamas ou Frodo Baggins si vous etes tres haut ou tres bas…
I love this new trend, it is so fun and different than anything else. Even as a girl I would wear either of these two blazers in a heart beat. Blazers themselves are great, but blazers with small scale print are FABULOUS! I also like the leather brief case because they are evocative of a time past.
Usually I do not care about trends. But I really like the look. I can imagine myself wearing those sportcoats. Unfortunatly summer is almost gone. Who made them ? Is there a wool version available ?
lovely photos, as always.
now the question remains: is it a trend or will it be a trend after sartorialistization? ;)
absolutely love your photos. thank for bringing art to our lives.
