Oh my this is amazing! Her face! All the different black textures! Her bum! I bet she attracted a lot of attention in Paris, Parisians are always so conservative and judgmental in their fashion sense… (I can say that I’m a parisian!)
So urban chic. This is what I love about french girls is their ability to mesh the hard with delicate and then carrie it so well. Love everything about her style from her glasses to her leather jacket and chiffon dress! http://anarkalilovesme.blogspot.ca/
Angelic and develish ! That’s what comes to my mind looking at this young woman.
What the light does to her face, the leather jacket and her sheer skirt is amazingly beautiful.
Great shot on a great street.
Ahh…the contrasts in this photo. The beautiful, yet bookish scientist from the neck up and the temptress from the neck down. Then you have the contrast in fabric – leather vs. sheer. And finally, the full coverage of the trousers and no coverage of the trousers !! Wow…what great style.
Absolutely stunning, I love the all black, different materials, and the sheer dress over I’m guessing a body suit is impeccable. I like how you came in close for this shot Scott, it really highlights her shape, so nice.
I would have thought this much more appropriate look for romantic dinner on veranda with one’s lover not on daytime parade. besides, a gift is so much more exciting when you have to tear off the paper.
I love the leather jacket, but honestly I just want to add some volume to her hair. It looks flat. It would look so much prettier and flattering with more volume (either with extensions, hairspray or just something).
Nope, sorry sycophants, this is NOT decorous. As well, if someone was wearing this at the Mall of Americas, or on the streets of Venice Beach, CA, we’d be calling them trashy. Just because she’s French, doesn’t make her stylish. Interesting? Brave? Begging for attention? Yes. But stylish, no.
I don’t think so. I might be wrong, but I think she’s a fashion student that Scott has featured before. Personally, I think she knows what she’s doing. In any event, many women wear yoga pants out on the town (and are not labeled trashy), with everything showing – panty lines, curve of the bum, etc.
She just looks so fabulous, and she would have done at any time since about the late 80s… this is a late 20th – 21st centruy look and I love it! It is exactly how I wished to look when I was in my 20s. She is beyond fabulous. And if she can’t show a bit of bottom on the Paris streets, I don’t know who can….
I have mixed feeling about this outfit.
She looks amazing in it showing a perfectly shaped body! I really like the mix of the ethereal skirt and the raw jacket.
However, as said before, that would be perfect on stage, but not in the streets. Covering her buttom with a sheer fabric doesn’t make her outfit less revealing! It looks like she is fishing for attention and she probably got plenty, but I am not a fan of that kind of attitude…
Would I wear it?
Do I think she looks terrific?
Do I admire the way she’s re-contextualized the sheer by playing it against the leather jacket, nerd glasses, and gorgeous natural hair?
Oh hell yeah.
She is beautiful but this would be more appropriate (sexy not trashy) for night. Here I get “Please stare at my fantastic buttocks” on the bottom and “take me as seriously as I do myself” on the top. Maybe that’s the point. Upon second look it gave me a little chuckle. Love the jacket!
..I’m thinking, great in the right environment, but what about when the party is over and you are alone on the subway getting a train home? It’s not so smart unless you have company or a safety ride back home, no?
She obviously knows what she’s doing. Her face has so much intelligence in it, I can’t believe that she wore those pants just to get a few men to stare at her. It was more of a statement than that. It is true, she does look a bit nervous.
My goodness. Just because one can doesn’t mean one should.
That being said, she’s gorgeous, and since she’s chosen to be half naked in public gawd bless her for choosing something besides tattered cutoffs and flipflops.

The seduction and sexiness in this picture is so subtle you could also interpret it as her nescience of what she is representing but actually knowing the exclusiveness of what is covering her body. A transcendental piece of art.
quelle horreur! I didn’t notice those sheer pants until scrolling down further….and I love that it shocked me! She seems like the consummate geek hippie individual uni student. All she needs is a cigarette dangling from her fingers..

As a fashion photo, I think this is really cool and shows great style. As an actual street look, I simply can’t imagine absorbing all the looks men, and women would bombard her with. And harassment. It disturbs me as street fashion.
Personality is to certain extent defined by what you wear. The interpretation in this case is confusing. The glasses appear to say ‘ university ‘ and the clothes ‘ look at me ‘ . And she is looking at the camera for all who use this site.
I’ve seen loads of women wearing chiffon silk see-through long skirts on black matt shorts here in Paris over the last couple of months. It’s become a trend. Even curvier girls effortlessly adopt this brave style. I wonder who launched it…
