I LOVE this look. I wore this basic outfit the other day–it’s a staple in my wardrobe, lol, sans white belt and socks and shoes and coat…denim shirt tucked into high-wasted jeans rolled cuffs, with wood clogs a’la the 70s and my high school days. It’s classic, chic, simple, and elegant, always in good taste. Carry a kelly bag and add some pearls or lions heads gold earrings and a vintage Morris Moskowitz skin clutch for an easy-going (or skip the skin clutch and use a fabulous dark brown vintage skin belt with a huge mother of a gold buckle with a Judith Leiber-style one, and the kelly will always work, lol) solid vintage look and you’re good to go. YMMV, of course.
BTW, I understand this look (denim shirt/denim jeans) was called, at one time, a “Canadian tuxedo”–or would that have to include a demin jacket as well.? Would anyone care to weigh in with m/info?
Her simplicity and naturalness are a comfort and delight to behold. Her hair is divine.
I may have to find a vintage skinny belt to add to my oufit. Thanks for including a doable, “reachable-for-the little-people” style photo.
Funny how the pink socks evoke such strong reactions. I think they’re cute, but I would like them even better if she’d displayed them more discreetly, negligently, by not rolling up the cuffs quite so high.
