Compared to most men these days, certainly ones outside of any major metropolitan area, fashion god Nick Wooster will often appear to be “trying too hard” with whatever he’s wearing. I just appreciate that he tries at all. Yes, he wears things that push the envelope of men’s fashion. Yes, you are welcome to your opinion. However, as the “citizen of the world. non judgmental. freedom seeker. innate cool hunter.” that you say you are, I’m rather surprised at your reaction. Granted it would look more “logical” in Morocco but in cosmopolitan Paris it isn’t all that odd to see men wearing this. Also, they just attended a fashion show where generally everyone wears their most interesting outfits. Curious – why don’t you think the woman is “trying too hard”? To my eye the skirt’s a bit short for her, and she looks like she’s ready for an evening at the club when it’s clearly afternoon. Your thoughts?

The picture is interesting but the outfit on the gentleman reminds me of a butcher/ a surgeon/ an embalmer. I’m also not quite sure if the outfit is flattering for his body shape.

Again, this is a typical sartorialist photograph. I really admire Scott’s art. The black and white of the couple’s outfit is repeated by the cylindrical objects in the background. Great composition!!!

Is this cultural appreciation or cultural appropriation on the males part? Regardless I am certain that what he is wearing is the same cultural garb that Afghani men wear. You can see this by simply typing Afghani male cultural dress in google images.

Woman and men who are of Afghan background/heritage receive much scrutiny for simply being themselves, of course, because of much of what is being purported by modern media.
It is hard to say, perhaps he has received backlash for this, I can not know, but he is in Paris, that I do know, where some events took place not long ago, and also where claims were made of individuals of certain cultural background.

Or is this his way of paying homage to Afghani culture, I do not know.

You mean the 80 people killed by ISIS in France? Or do you mean the 13 people killed by ISIS in Bangladesh? Or do you mean the 11 killed by some lone Muslim Fanatic in Germany today? Why don’t you spit it out, if you are going to talk about it. Or are you taking a page from Obama and acting like refusing to name the problem will somehow magically make it go away. Drop the act. We have better things to worry about then cultural appropriation in an outfit. Like Muslim Fundamentalists throwing bullets at innocent people.

And you seem to think that if Obama uses that term, terrorism will “magically go away” to use your own words? Your naivete is somewhat endearing but sad

The lowest level of the building, one floor below the street, is surrounded by narrow reflecting pools, creating a grotto-like space where the artist Olafur Eliasson, in a piece called Inside the Horizon, has wrapped a row of triangular columns in Murano glass.

Nice post and nice picture! No matter how old you are, you should keep healthy and maintain a good shape of yourself. As you can see in the picture, the man still has a good shape although he is not young any more. So keep training yourself, keep waist training.
