Maybe he just WANTS to wear comfortable shoes. Give him a break…
And I do like the combo. Its casualness is somehow echoed in the blazer+ blouse? combination he’s wearing, purposefully or not, I don’t know..
But it does look good on him,..to my eye at least , blacks, greys , whites…..come ON….Sorry, but i love it.
I think the trainers and the ensuing debate are interesting. It’s clear that wearing sneakers with more fashionable clothing is quite the trend right now. He’s taken a trend and gone a bit further with it than most abandoning any sleekness/coolness with other sneaker choices. But, I think what’s most important is the question of the trend. With men’s fashion being relatively timeless, these sneakers present an image which is unique to right now and probably won’t be seen in a significant number of images two years ago or two years from now. Peoples distaste for them in this discussion is indicative of something that’s understood as a passing fashion that certainly doesn’t transcend the moment.
I’m sorry, but come on… You have got to be kidding me with this Jerry Seinfeld, white athletic sneaker thing. Just stop with it already, on guys and girls. It looks SO. BAD. There is not a single redeeming quality about this stupid trend. Is the point to make yourself look like a secretary commuting to and from work in the 80′s…? That.s fashionable? That’s stylish?
Or is it that we’re finally running out of fresh ideas?
