The Fashion Show 20 years Ago (As Seen on Unzipped)

2915UnzippedWeb1

I’ve been going to the shows as The Sartorialist for ten years…but as part of the fashion industry for fifteen years.

I can’t believe that this is what the shows looked like right before I started going!

It feels like nothing changes and yet things do change you just don’t feel it because you’re so in it.

In the early nineties there were photographers still stretched around the entire runway, interacting with the models. It must have been a completely different feeling to attend a show in 1994 as opposed to 2004.

As I come up on my ten year anniversary it makes me wonder how shows will be ten years from now.

The Sexiest Runway Shows of All Time

2915haiderWeb

Haider Ackermann really highlighted in this collection both a hard edge and a fluidity, a soft sexiness that you don’t usually see from that type of design. He also did an incredible job of highlighting different erogenous zones—back, leg, hip bone, side cleavage—that make this collection a great example of a kind of ‘thinking woman’s sexiness.’
