She is so beautiful. Love the masculine coat with the brocade pants.

Absolute elegance although I may have worn different socks – navy/black or the other way, a zappy bright. Not mad about bandage colour hosiery. Nonethless, to look this good takes style and confidence in yourself.

True style has no age limit. She knows what she’s doing and her confidence shines through. I’d like personally a little less fashion and maybe some more weirdness. Just sayin.

However the argument against could be is weirdness sartorial, or not? Weirdness is amusing and thought provoking but not, I feel, sartorial.

I am ambivalent about the ankle-cropped trousers in both this shot and the one below it. One the hand, they truncate a very elegant look. But on the other (in this photo), I like the way the flash of white sock echoes the tiny bit of collar – there’s a vague ancien regime feel in the lines.

Personally, I hate white hose, but I must admit, a quick look at this shot and I found them fitting. I immediately thought “She’s off to court in Venice in the age of Goldoni”: is she by chance a lawyer?

Mrs Queen is also not feeling the white sox. She does like the cufflinks, the big glasses, and the smooth whoosh of that hair-do.

This is the kind of Italian or French look that most Americans would never be able to think up or execute. Everything, including the white socks, is a particularly European approach to balance, restraint, elegance and the grace note of the unexpected in the sock color.

Modern, elegant, classy and she definitely has and always had confidence in what she wears.

She is distinctive and has confidence in her own style. I love her look, every bit of it.

    Just smart.
    Worn confidently.

AAH come on fashion is not art. It doesn’t have a strict code to follow.
Everyone can do whatever he/she wants and it’s still trendy. The person, his/her confidence & personality make an outfit trendy not the outfit itself, that works like a transparent cover that let person’s personality shine through.

I love the severe beauty of her face and poise. From the trouser length down it falls apart.
