These boots are an awesome, sporty alternative to the over-the-knee Stuart Weitzmans!! Anything with a running shoe on the bottom has me sold. #athleisure

very striking from the thighs up. LOL
not sure i’m on board with the “footwear,” but she certainly gets points for unique, and i don’t mean that in a bad way.

seems like something is missing from this ensemble…like a bottom for the top?

I also don’t like the boots at all. I wonder if true taste does indeed change? Or, is this look less appealing or not at all, to any generation older than what the designer might have had in mind? Or is it simply that different peopl have different tastes?…Great hair and chunky knit, nevertheless.

I’m sure I’m of a “generation older than what the designer might have had in mind,” but I think the boots are cool–not my personal style, but really cool & fabulous with this look.

Wow, I love this look. Those over the knee sneakers (or whatever they’re called) are cool, and work great with the long sweater.

At first glimpse I wasn’t sure if those were boots or flats with socks. Now I know they are not socks but I’m not sure if they are over the knee sneakers or over the knee boots. Whatever they are they are amazing

Fun look, I like how the definition of “boots” and “shoes” and what can be worn with what (e.g. kneehigh socks with pumps is no longer taboo) is melting away, and new cool (and comfy!) looks are coming in!

Although, as always, a beautiful photo, & she looks cool/modern, part of me wants to say, “Excuse me, you forgot your pants…”

So smart! I got used to thigh-high boots made from leather (real or fake) or suede and mostly with high hees. This sporty synthetics one is really refreshing!
I guess we’ll see loads of interpretations from mass-market brands in the nearest future.

honestly not a fan of the boots/over the thigh trainers, looks rather cumbersome, but the rest is fun

This look rocks! I’ve seen the sweater and minimal bottom look in many places this year. But those boots! Jumping into the screen now. lol I now have an idea for my Fashion Friday outfit. Thank you.

Rick Owens taps into our futuristic imagination. He’s well known to pimp out something so basic as a sneaker and morph it into something Avant Garde. It has a certain TRON and STAR WARS effect. The FUTURE is here! In all honesty, this look is PG as opposed to his show yesterday…NC17. Personally I would have had all the models wear tube socks….a la Red Hot Chilli Peppers. But I’m modest….while accepting. I mean indigenous tribes, like the Huaorani live 24/7 a la Rick. Rick WE heart you….hope the models didn’t catch a cold. It is winter…. =)

    I guess it’s cool if you’re 25 and under.
