Text book rigging my friends! His choice of socks was a perfect one…look at the way it keeps the eyes moving up smoothly, all the way to his face! Great composition from photographer’s perspective, too!

Love this. Sure, the clothes are great, but I am most captured by the eyes and expression. They whisper secrets of a time that I’ve never known.

What stunning, serious and perfect style and expression. I wish people dressed like this today.
Don’t know about Africa, but he could have very well fitted in the cubism periods of Prague with this tie and socks.

I wish I could know more about when and where in North Africa this was taken and who the photographer was.. fascinating. Was he posing for a formal portrait or is this a candid capture?
This reminds me of this exhibit in a NY gallery a few years ago: http://www.westwoodgallery.com/past_mansouri.html

It’s amazing the waist on the jacket is so high and the trousers so short – very interesting proportions.
