Was gonna say nope, but then I thought, if a girl his age was wearing this, I’d probably like it mainly because of how it would show of her shape. With that in mind, I say, eh, why not, to this dude. Probably someone out there is enjoying looking at him.

No. Not working for me. Maybe someone enjoys it, but I am really wishing I never saw him at all. Makes me think there is a hair in my coffee.

One must appreciate and applaud youth. He is at least conscious of himself in the world and knows his presence has an effect – even if it just for his own delight.

Nope…….woulda been cool back in 2003. Trouble is, the Big Star, retro rock look is so passé

Hip huggers…he can surely get away with it…he can get away with the whole look…as it works well for him…and it hardly distracts from the great smile and cool hairstyle!

I like his nonchalant attitude, he looks like a rock star from the ’70s. I got a small objection though: the top does not looked cropped, it rather looks small, but he sort of pulls it off.

Do you want an expert opinion: that is too feminine.

Plus, it looks like a sweater was overwatered and it turned from size Medium to size XSmall.

Gorgeous 70′s messy queer underground. I love it all, not just the clothes but also the body language, hair, smile and, yes, cigarette. I can only hope Scott does not start listening too much to the negative comments and ends up “cleaning” his wonderful pictures too much.

      September 15, 2016 at 4:53 am

      I second that. Perfectly said.

    • LIZPR

      September 16, 2016 at 4:13 pm

Oh, Scott’s no idiot. He knew this photo would be provocative. I like that he posts a very wide range of looks and styles (I do wish he’d post people or more varying body types, especially of women).

As for this specific look, I’m not a fan and really think it does not work. But I always appreciate someone who shakes it up a bit.

I like that people are SO put off by this look that no one has complained about the smoking.

      Ha ha ha!

i third that. i love everything about him–body, body language, smile, androgyny, ease and authenticity. men also have beautiful form and it is always refreshing to move visual attention away from the female. just lovely on so many levels

Yes, 70′s London, maybe The Clash, he’s lovely.

Maybe somewhat in attitude, but certainly not the clothing. Low rise in the 70′s would be the equivalent to todays hi rise. Take a look at pictures of little 70′s punk rockers. Not going to find anything of the sort. This is much more late 90′s.

I like the look but I can’t help but think that he didn’t read the washing instructions properly.

  28. Truth be told

    September 15, 2016 at 10:50 am

Well, somebody needs to give his little sister her sweater back.

That being said, while some men let their chest hair appear from the top of their shirt, I guess this guy decided to let some lower tummy hair show from the top of his low-riding pants instead…

It’s odd though, usually when a guy lets us see a glimpse of his (toned, please) stomach between his shirt and pants (e.g., when jumping, stretching, etc.), I find that sexy. However, here, I don’t find it sexy at all, but rather off-putting.

To each his own, I guess.
Trying to imagine this look on a much hairier guy though, and hum, well…

    • Jeremy

      September 16, 2016 at 1:04 am

I know what you mean. It’s sexier when it’s unintentional than when it’s deliberate.

Hot water wash is not for wool, especially when you dryer dry on high afterwards.

    And another thing: manscaping.

Ok, the shirt he grabbed in the morning got destroyed. He was able to snag a child’s sweater. He seems to be a little lazy in finding a more suitable replacement.

He’s adorable but I don’t care for the sweater vest.

  36. joanne

    September 16, 2016 at 11:39 am

He is a really cute boy, and he channels the 70s, when it was normal for people to have body hair. Our perception has changed, but I suspect the commentators who find his pubes oh-so-gross are quite young ;)

Interesting look. Challenges us to look again at men as sex objects, rather than women. Also, he obvious spent time on his hair. Nice.

Sartorial in every way… a real beauty and relaxed elegance in a gently masculine way & the clothes all dovetail perfectly with his gentle vibe. He looks like a creative & very alive human being. Love everything about the photograph & this person. ~NY~
