On the Street…The Top Third, Milan

11517Scar6B9126IG

Often the most important part of a men’s look is in the top third.

I know it seems like I have been focusing on portraits lately but I think that is a result of really narrowing the images to the most important elements of an individual look.

Here ,for example, the shoes, the pants, the belt were pretty basic.

The real drama of the look is in the scarf and coat and how those patterns worked topped off by the sunglasses and beautiful hair.

If you look back at the recent “portraits” you’ll see that there’s still a lot of fashion in those images.

The sunglasses are way to big for his face.

Inspired by the scarf. Headed to NYC tomorrow for as long weekend, packing several of my Hermes scarves to wear with merino pullovers. Maybe I will be spotted on the street by Scott…LOL!!

I am probably as inspired by the men Scott shoots as the women ( I’m female ( % ). The Pitti Uomo weeks always provide delight. I know it’s mainly people working in (high) fashion and design fields who will dress at this mainly designer standard and not possible for everyone but I regularly find this site inspiring – this word is written a lot – and informative and educational. If you are one who enjoys and is interested in clothes, that is!

This looks great, although only someone who looks like this dude could get away with it.

This is really a nice look.
Maybe I am obsessed with depth of field in wanting shoulder to shoulder focus in this shot. The focus fades split right down the middle of the subject.

I think the look is classical. There is a theme about it.

Very stylish accessories. As for me the guy looks feminine. Perhaps not enough of Italian brutality and charisma.
