I have to disagree……. the sneaker do nothing for me and in fact it takes away from what would have been a fluid look with a touch of pizzazz……. the sneakers are statement overdrive which is NEVER a good look.
I have to agree with you, the sneakers look very out of place. Before I scrolled down to the sneakers I found the fact that he was pulling up his shorts interesting, but the sneakers detract from it.
the leather pants are INCREDIBLE. and i love how this guy isn’t wearing them with a head-to-toe biker look. but can the American flag thing just die already?!? So over. although maybe in Florence it’s still fresh?
i was having a rough day at work. this photo cheered me up. i love the shoes and the patriotic implication. especially appropriate during the Olympics. :)
I aboslutely LOVE the slouchy fit of the leather shorts ! they look like something a basketball player would wear but in a mesh material. so unique !! And pairing them with the Jeremy scott for addidas sneakers is genius. A new take on sports wear !
I support everything he is doing!!! AMAZING LOOK! and he’s free. don’t tame him!!!! Anyone at anytime can wear whatever the hell they want as long as they’re confident and creative (what this blog means to me and why i love it so)
!handsome look! I dream of having a pair of the jeremy scott winged kicks in shiny gold one day. But, OH! I can’t imagine him being very comfortable. It is so hot and humid now in Florence. I am returning there from Civitanova tomorrow and..and.. wishing this cool weather would follow my train ride there..
I love the design of the sneakers!
I found a pair of wedge ankle boots that had a similar design and now I can’t remember where. So sad.
But yeah. Those shoes are amazing.
And if this photo was taken in Italy…the fact that they have the design of the American flag is interesting xD
Nooooo!!!!! if your shorts are constantly falling down because they are gigantic and you have to keep one hand on them, well that’s not a good look. I understand the statement he is making and for his courage I applaud him. But he looks hot! Hot as in warm as in sweaty and uncomfortable, not a good look. What if has to run? He would lose his pants and well….. once again that is not a good look….on him or anyone.
Fun photo though and the craziest shoes ever!

Wow! This is a crazy, not that pleasant look. Kudos for him just going for it though. I actually photographed a guy in Charleston SC wearing the same pair of shoes, they were over the top.
What a great idea !
Im going to find some leather pants in goodwill or salvation army or rose bowl flea market get a pair a couple of sizes too large and cut them off
no one here in LA is doing this – yet !
Some people on here need to get a grip! Yes, it’s a fashion blog, and a very good and popular one at that, but there really is no need to get excited about every single picture. And in this case, the subject matter looks absolutely ridiculous.
I personally think this guy looks laughable and this is just ridiculous. In the name of trying to be unique, he just ended up looking desperate and trying too hard.
Looks so sticky. And the leather will have its own smell in high summer. No way could he be trying to attract the opposite sex?!
10/10 for going out of his way though – with those trainers too!!!
I like to think this young Florentine (?) was inspired to wear these shoes by remembering Giambologna’s statue of Mercury in the Bargello. I like to think that Jeremy Scott was similarly inspired to design them.
Can’t really figure out which leg is closest to the camera. Anyhow, both legs deserve to be up front because whats on the end of them is utterly surprising and therefore marvelous
Seriously? It’s like a monkey dressed him. Button-up shirt with oversized leather shorts… and don’t get me started on the atrocities on his feet. This is how NOT to dress for young guy.
He must be freakin’ insane to be wearing leather shorts in Firenze in the summer. Plus the look is just plain ugly. Most young italiani have much better taste.
i don’t like this, I don’t like looking at it, Everything he wears seems pointy, unbending, stiff, unconfortable ; it doesn’t mean it really IS but it looks like it; Maybe the person in the picture wants to stand out, which might justify his choice;
I honestly don’t see how people commenting on here is advertising. Its very unlikely that anyone would check out a blog just because of a comment on here. And even if you do wonder about the occasionally commenter, its nearly always a private thing. Not an actual blog. Its just what it looks like. people commenting. Check for yourself. There are only about three actual blogs out of all these comments at the time of this message. The rest are set to private.
Holly Laugh Out Loud! My eyebrows hit the ceiling when I saw this. He is certainly making a hella wild statement. It is not subtle. But its got some charm anyhow. The shoes I absolutely love, and I love finding out what kind of man would rock them. Well captured!!!
So cumbersome. Prada is doing flames and wings on stilettos. It’s elegant and creative. This is wrong. Adidas Fail. As always I appreciate seeeing whats out there your side of the world.
Thanks Scott.
The combination of a camouflage long sleeve plus leather shorts with a pair of rubber shoes (Wings, Color R/B) are awesome. It’s kinda weird but still a thumbs up for me! :)
Ryan Lochte has a pair of these shoes as well. I couldn’t pull it off, I’m not sure if either this guy or Ryan L. can either. They are a novel idea, but not for me.

The camouflage shirt is good. The shoes are fun for a 12-year old.

Overall, the outfit is fighting itself and the fellow is losing.

Enough about the sneakers. What about the New Zealand Maori koru tatoo on his leg. Now that’s commitment to patroitism. Is he a Kiwi?

Please tell me this guy was joking. No one would dress like that unless it was a joke, right? The shoes are dreadful and the shorts are ridiculous.

As a man I must say it looks terribly uncomfortable. Hard to look good when you need to pull your pants up.

Can’t help but feel this would be on the Vice “Don’t” column.

Yeah. But some of the greatest outfits are in the DON’T column. Thats why i actually stopped buying all magazines that have them.

Chacun a son gout! However, the footwear is, in my opinion, comical -perhaps that IS the point? Discuss.

He has to hold up his goddamn shorts. The whole thing is ridiculous except for the shoes.

Sneakers are great. Very whimsical.
What is happening to this blog? Is it becoming a venue for others to advertise their own pathetic blogs??? Two thumbs down.

I loved the look, from top to knee. The leather shorts are very unique, and the camouflage shirt goes nicely with it.
Congrats!

Am I the only one that is horrified by this, especially the shoes? I think its awfully tacky and looks cheap. Quelle disastre.

Ryan Lochte has a pair of these shoes as well. I couldn’t pull it off, I’m not sure if either this guy or Ryan L. can either. They are a novel idea, but not for me.

The proportions are so odd it looks as though a torso of a much smaller man was pasted onto the legs of a much larger one.

There is nothing I like in this outfit except the confidence required to wear those shoes.
