While his jeans and stance are so modern-day Charlie Chaplin, I love what’s going on up top: a thick tweedy jacket with what look to be two separate scarves worn together. :) Janea http://thestyletti.com
The jeans are to be celebrated – they absolutely work as part of the ensemble; the cigarette does not. Some Chaplinesque shoes (from Lazy Oaf, perhaps) would address the Health & Safety concerns expressed.
I like the white buttons on the tweed-look jacket,I haven’t seen that often. They pop out on the picture. (Normally darker colour buttons are preferred on tweed.) Also the white buttons go well with the white dots on Charly’s scarf.
This Charlie Chaplin for the 21st century is one of my Japanese tailors. He is still young but very efficient. He is working at AL SOLE in Tokyo, managed by a great Japanese stylist, Yoichi ONISHI. http://alsole.jp/
