On the Street….Deep Cuffed Denim, Milan

A deep cuff on raw denim never works for me. It just doesn’t fit my proportions!

However, I’m happy for him.

(Although my green eyes of envy make me wish his ankles are freezing).

I like it all except the cuff in the jeans. The materials and color palette of his outfit are very tasteful. Makes one curious about the rest of his outfit.

i’ll never understand how people dress overcoats, scarfs, etc, etc, and go sockless in winter. i’m sorry, that is not style, it’s just a foolish sealy fashion statment. i belive his freezing too. there’s no way out.

Deep cuff, jeans, whatever . The sockless look is stupid and also ugly.
Try a bike ride in wintertime with no socks…….

The only thing I like in this picture are the shoes.
The naked ankles and the deep cuff are really too much.
Beside, being 5’7″, I totally share your comment.

Nice classic look – I love the shoes, jeans and coat – but I just don’t get what going sockless in mid-winter is all about. Reminds me of the freezing girl in a previous picture a couple of days ago. To me it just looks uncomfortable and ridiculous, but if somebody could explain why it’s being done, I’de be willing to learn ;)

Cuffs and shoes. Something about that pairing always seems so relevant.

    Great shot and those shoes!!!!

I will love to try this as soon as Spring is here in Athens. Nobody likes a frozen ankle

I’m a thin 6’4″ so I suppose my proportions should work for this look, but I still don’t like it. It reeks of trying too hard, and overwhelms the rest of the look. Those are some cool shoes, though.

The shoes are fantastic. I love brogues. I am guessing they are Church’s but I could be wrong. Can anyone confirm what they are? No socks in February in Milan? Not cool but freezing and silly. The turn-ups are an unnecessary distraction.

They may be Trickers out of Northampton, England. They do have that espresso colour. A pair of Trickers Bourton with commando soles is my guess. Fine shoes indeed…

the idea is spot on. given the wintry weather a smart sock would have made the look golden!

Interestingly, the sleeves are too long, however, looks good. Maybe because the jeans are too short =)

I would have preferred to see some socks… it looks so ‘unfinished’ to me. Hah – he will get chilblains.

Cool looking or feeling cold :)

You will know it feels less cold below knees if you try.
