On the Street…A New Shape, Milan

022118n218649

I’m so ready for a new pant shape!

I feel like now I’m just waiting on the designers and retailers to provide viable options.

The gentleman above isn’t wearing a flared pant so much (maybe a slight bootcut?) but there is a lot of crunch and puddling going on! (that may sound odd but it looks fresh)

Julio, you’re right…the stylish ones you’re referring to were tres avant-garde! P.S. Scott you’ve got to look around as there is so much “new” to be discovered…get you’re eye off the lens and focus outside of the sartorial silhouette that’s washed over the fashion globe!

I’m o.k. with the playfulness of the concept, but not the execution. With more care it could have been dazzling, but this appears a bit haphazard to me. Oh, well … Have a good day, friends.

Looking at that this pic in relation to your description, I can’t help but be reminded that fashion has as much to do with the creative art as it does with people simply making clothing their own statement and disregarding the trends. Who influences who?

Scott, you have it all wrong: the guy is on his way to the tailor to get his pants hemmed.

it’s so cool to see the classic style is trending again, very playful and unique, the style with a twist, his pants looks classic, but nice jacket, the scarf and the chook or knit hat are matched and cool, sporty shoes i like it. Something really cool to find..click here… https://ewow.com.co/

Though we’re often on the search for refreshing and new, it’s hard to determine whether this is simply reinvention or whether there is actually a new perspective on an old item.

Oh, no. Keep the tight Italian cut that doesn’t hang over the shoe.

Wider legged pants are great to see again and really comfortable to wear. A little higher waist allows them to be fitted on the upper body and drape nicely. Some of the real forward designers have been presenting them in extreme cuts with prices to match. I have found some options from Dries and Acne. Now get ready for pleated pants too!

Oh please Sart, the fact is people buy clothes that fit everywhere except the length and either can’t sew (even being able to do the basics these days seems to be rare) or can’t be bothered/afford to have them hemmed. It was a’Look’ in the nineties but again I feel for the same reasons, everywhere on looked one saw dirty ragged hems on clothes. I love fashion and innovation but feel this is ridiculous. I love the vintage look of the outfit apart from the obviously ridiculous length of the pant.

It is a bit of a mess, but somehow it works.

Only the left leg is too long : clearly the hem has come away and needs fixing. Less a ‘look’, more a mess.
