Her smile is her best accessory!

Love her look, but i’m not sure about her shoes, and is there a hole in her sock?

I adore this look! My personal preference would be to pair this outfit with a dainty flat shoe, but I really like the way she’s connected a very demure top half to an edgy bottom half with this rather dressy skirt. Plus, her smile really is her best accessory. Very young, very fresh. The length of the skirt is perfect and flatters her legs, even in those clunky shoes! I love it!

Lovely fifties outfit; Super sixties hair . . . But those shoes?!? What’s up with all the clodhopper footwear lately?

Not sure about the shirt–it makes the look a bit too literally ’50s for my eye–but love the overall groove. And it’s been so nice to see more and more women moving away from fussy little frou-frou shoes…

Looks a bit “Call the Midwife” to me. (UK TV programme).

    The “unexpected shoes” are hideous.

    • Jessie

      October 22, 2014 at 11:41 am

Yeah. The contrast wouldn’t bother me – I would be fine with biker boots for instance – but these are indeed hideous (sorry!) Otherwise: fresh, happy look!

Love this look (it evokes “Rebel Without a Cause?”)…she looks like a boyfriend-jacket pilferer. This outfit could use a motorcycle jacket to fight off the chill. And in case of a “rumble,” a switchblade in the pocket.

Great look, the Dr Martnes are the perfect finishing touch

  32. archie

    October 23, 2014 at 4:03 pm

The shoes are doc martins which are a British classic and frequently teamed with all sorts of outfits to give a streetwise edge, the shoes are in fact the most classic part of her outfit, very punk, very London! !

she looks so british in this look; obssesively formally classy with a twisted punky “fuck off” towards it. I suppose, she will save the Queen…
