Tuesday was really about hi-top Nikes for the ladies. Funny, as soon as the temps go over 70F (21-ish C) I never think about hi-tops. They just seem like they would be too warm. However, Ruby and Kiki might force me to reconsider.

I feel bad that I’ve kept this tee a secret for so long. I think I was afraid they would sell out before I could stock up. But now, I have three in navy, two in grey, and I love them all!

This tee (which is really a knit disguised as a tee) is so much lighter in weight than most of the tees I own. Since the weave in the shirt isn’t too tight, the breeze moves through the fabric so that it feels almost like you have nothing on.

The only down side is the first one I bought pilled from my camera strap after a long day shooting. Mine also didn’t have a pocket (better that way). But, those are minor compared to the perfection of a great new wardrobe staple for summer.

Miuccia Prada Says “You can hate yourself!”

This weekend, there was a great article in T Magazine about Miuccia Prada. There are so few designers that actually have something interesting to say about fashion, society, or culture. But, Miuccia always seems to deliver the most interesting points of view.

I’ve always been a huge Prada fan, but for some reason right now, I’m really obsessed with her design, her company, and the mystique of the Prada world.

Garance and I send a big hug and congrats to Tim Blanks for winning the CFDA Eugenia Sheppard Media Award!

I loved watching Tim Blanks on Fashion Files and have been a fan of his work since I was in college, watching him report from the shows with his wonderfully unique voice and point of view.

I remember my first trip to Milan for Style.com and begging Tim for a ride from show to show. I would sit in the front seat and listen to Tim review the shows with Jamie Pallot or Dirk Standen; It felt like I had left the TV on in the other room.
