ohhhh i LOVE his pants AND his scarf AND his shoes! love the mix of colour and boldness and craziness, i have seen a blazer like his pants but i still dont know if i should wear it, probably wont be able to carry it off as well as this guy has…
You really do find the most unique, quirky, interesting, and sometimes rather mad people! Haha. This is quite wacky, but actually kind of works! The casual trainers work really well at toning down the trousers (ditto t-shirt) I like the scarf too as it adds great contrasting colour.
I don't know if you have time to read all these comments, but if you do I'd just like to say that your blog is incredibly inspirational to anyone who's interested in fashion or photography.(ie- me) Really great stuff! (:
No No No No No! Everything great but the scarf. Not that I'm advocating matchy-matchy, I just think that when he looked in the mirror before he left home he should have taken one thing off, and that should have been the scarf. He's cute, though, and refreshingly relaxed in his print pants. I think a black-and-white checkerboard scarf would have pulled the look together. Less bitty. Am I alone here?
Every piece seperatly is very kooky. Almost clownish.
But together…kinda works…for him at least. If he did not have such a demure attitude he WOULD look like a clown. Instead he has a look as if he doesn't even realize how offbeat he is…like everyone dresses like this.
I like that there is a solid element between the scarf and the pants, otherwise it would be too much print. I would never wear all of this, I would do either the scarf OR the pants, but it seems to work for him. Chuck Taylors are a good thing here. Jorge from WPB
As a photo, I love it. The colors and patterns are fascinating together. As an outfit, it looks like the illegitimate child of a hipster and my grandmother's quilt.
Am I alone or does he remind anyone of Julie Andrew's running up play clothes for the VonTrapp children out of the curtain fabric in Sound of Music? Lovely
WOW!! Talk about a ton of confidence and I have to say that I admire him for that. This ensemble is one of those that you say "That's crazy" at first but in the next 30 seconds you become addicted to it. For some absolutely crazy reason..it kind of reminds me of a salad. It could either be the fact I am hungry right now or that all the colors reminds me of a salad…either case I still love it and I have to say that it's so good to know that once again someone else is wearing Chuck Taylors and rocking them! It's safe to say now that I am completely astounded and amazed at how he pulled this look off. check out my trendy blog! http://thetrendydwarf.blogspot.com/
In the event anyone is interested in knowing what a man should wear as clothes, watch "Little Ashes" – a movie about the young life and loves of artist Salvador Dalí, filmmaker Luis Buñuel and writer Federico García Lorca.
Back to the photo – the Florentine wall behind him is far more appealing than that clash, no, that brawl of colour he's wearing. What is he trying to say to the world by wearing what he does?
Bravo to this guy for pulling this off–it makes me happy to look at it, although I do wonder what it would look like without the scarf? If I saw a guy in London, Ontario wearing this, I would grab him, show him to all my friends, then take him home and keep him!
