The outfit is so simple, yet unbelievable elegant/dazzling at the same time…Love her smile, her body language, this is definately one of your best photos so far!
i am in love!
When was this shot taken? Is it a sign that we can chill out on the old "no white after Labor Day" rule?

embracing a natural glow
September 15, 2009 at 5:19 pm
Taylor, the master of Accessories! :)her lovely hair itself is a wonderful accessory. She could easily go with nothing else and still look stunning.
Garance Dore mentioned something about legs on this weeks nyc fash week, and thats all i am seeing and i am bloody loving it!
Yes she's young, pretty and almost anything will look good on her, but how can she walk in those shoes without pain?
September 15, 2009 at 5:20 pm
gorgeous! I am loving those sunglasses, I'll have to dig out my own cat-eyes
September 15, 2009 at 5:23 pm
LOVE this take on the button-up. The sum of her accessories make the outfit.
September 15, 2009 at 5:24 pm

what an unusual dress, do you know who it is by? Love the quirky glasses!http://fashionpearlsofwisdom.blogspot.com/
September 15, 2009 at 5:40 pm
It's a terribly clever marriage of two very contrasted seasons. The lighting beautifully accents the inherent motion of every fabric and shape.
And the shoes are a complete coup.
September 15, 2009 at 5:42 pm
Fashion and weather… them are a bit too linked and I wonder when I'd try the leg style in rainy london!
Everything from the motion to the cut of the dress is Amazing! Good work
September 15, 2009 at 5:44 pm
The lighting is gorgeous!Need I say more about her heels?? :) and She looks really happy…

September 15, 2009 at 5:54 pm
She kind of looks like a really chic fairy…
Does anyone know where she got those exact shades? And don't link me to the Ray-Ban site because that ain't it!
September 15, 2009 at 6:05 pm
Urban fairy. I like it.
I love her hair. She is happy and fabulous, makes me smile.
September 15, 2009 at 6:06 pm

September 15, 2009 at 6:08 pm
Beautiful–I love the bold color of her hair mixed with the soft, summery colors on her outfit!
September 15, 2009 at 6:16 pm

September 15, 2009 at 6:21 pm

September 15, 2009 at 6:28 pm
I adore the skirt and heels! Not as crazy about the top, but overall she looks just lovely:)
September 15, 2009 at 6:29 pm
Sart, how about show a picture of this woman's feet when she gets home. I'm sure those high heels are pretty disfiguring. People look at this site and think, thats beautiful, I want to look like that. It's insane though. Those shoes, with such high heels, look ridiculous. Yes the men are comfortably dressed but the women must parade around showing as much skin as possible while carrying out something that is tantamount to foot binding.

Love the crisp blue + white + the heels are gorgeous!
September 15, 2009 at 6:33 pm
The pleating on the skirt is wonderful and I love the Alaias.
September 15, 2009 at 6:34 pm

September 15, 2009 at 6:37 pm

September 15, 2009 at 6:39 pm

September 15, 2009 at 7:00 pm
WHO MADE THAT SKIRT?
Love her shoes!!!
Lovely! Just found out what to wear AND how to wear it for tomorrow :)
She looks stunning. Love the hemline!
Greetings from a soon-to-be copycat and a daily reader from up north.
Keep up the great work :)
September 15, 2009 at 7:06 pm
Absolutely gorgeous, the differing textures, the pleats, summery blue & wintery cardi, accented beautifully with that stunning necklace!
September 15, 2009 at 7:08 pm
A bit of a clash with regards to the very summery feel of the blue and white skirt and a very warm wool cardi over the shoulders. But i must say there's such movement to the skirt that one can forgive her slightly. The shoes are magnificent. Perhaps the outfit would look more pulled together if her skirt and blouse were darker colors? In either case, it's a statement of summer slowly transitioning to fall and how one tries to hang on to the last rays of summer. In some ways, quite beautiful.
September 15, 2009 at 7:10 pm
if I were an alien from another planet and your blog was my only reference to human females I would have to conclude that they all possessed incredibly long slender legs – each and EVERY one of them… stunning!

September 15, 2009 at 7:32 pm
I love her shoes. not a huge fan of the way the blouse flares with the skirt but I think the pieces individually are interesting
September 15, 2009 at 7:34 pm
She's such a radiant beauty- the hair, the smile. So much freshness and light in this picture. Its like she's walking on air. The skirt is fantastic.

September 15, 2009 at 8:28 pm

September 15, 2009 at 8:33 pm

September 15, 2009 at 8:48 pm
September 15, 2009 at 8:50 pm
great pic; love the light on her hair color.
does anyone know what her glasses are?
September 15, 2009 at 9:04 pm
I love how the top looks as if it's been constructed from a man's dress shirt – simply gorgeous!
September 15, 2009 at 9:06 pm
The light in this shot is amazing and really shows off the textures of the look. The ruffles, the strappy shoes and fluffy sweater, the necklace in shades of red like her hair: Great.
September 15, 2009 at 9:13 pm
dear god, i love this woman.
Posting for the first time to say that this is probably my favorite outfit out of this blog. LOVE it!
September 15, 2009 at 9:16 pm
God, I love it!!!!
September 15, 2009 at 9:17 pm
heavenly, glorious shoes. the light is lovely…it makes the shoes almost disappear against the white lines of the street.
September 15, 2009 at 9:31 pm
Oh wow, this is a very well put together outfit. I love the skirt's cut against her criss-crossed high heels. Amazing shot!
September 15, 2009 at 9:32 pm
Wow ! Love the skirt and the shoes. They give a great sense of lightness !
September 15, 2009 at 9:33 pm
Love the glasses and the way work with her hair. And the sense of lightness that her skirt and shoes provide – wow ! I am in love :)
September 15, 2009 at 9:38 pm
Oh my Oh my~! Those legs and those shoes and that skirt and her youth and happy spirit~! Thank you~!
I'm not feeling this look. Personally, I find the proportions to be wrong. Thought the look does have interesting texture–and I suppose it is meant to be a transitional look– the fabric combinations are just wrong. The shoes are fab, but inappropriate. She is a gorgeous lady and this shot is perfection (as always!), but as far as fashion goes, I've seen better.
September 15, 2009 at 9:43 pm
Dear Scott,The other day I managed to jump into my local bookstore and peruse through your book as I was in a hurry. It is simply brilliant and what a great selection of photographs.
Well done. Marvelous!
killer shoes and i love her sunglasses.
September 15, 2009 at 9:46 pm
this is great!
September 15, 2009 at 9:53 pm
I can see why you took this – look at the hem and the shoes mirroring each other. But I am very attracted to that light fuzzy cardigan about to slp off her shoulders.
September 15, 2009 at 9:55 pm
Those are great shoes! And the whole outfit is amazing and very summery. I have started a blog with pictures from DC where women have been taking advantage of these last summer days to wear cute summery outfits like this one. Check it out: spottedindupontcircle.blogspot.com
September 15, 2009 at 9:58 pm
I was reluctant to believe a pedal skirt can be worn as an everyday look – my belief is proven wrong. Love the simple silhouette created by two amazing pieces.
September 15, 2009 at 10:09 pm
Beyond brilliant and fresh look! The shoes are TDF!
September 15, 2009 at 10:29 pm

September 15, 2009 at 10:42 pm
Cleaver adaptation to women wearing their man's shirt out of bed.If we could only all look as effortlessly stylish walking out of bed in the morning! She sure embodies just that to me.
September 15, 2009 at 10:48 pm
how does she keep her cardigan on her shoulders without it falling off?
September 15, 2009 at 10:49 pm
The shoes are awesome.
September 15, 2009 at 10:55 pm

September 15, 2009 at 11:07 pm
Absolutely perfect. Stylish, interesting; accentuates all the positives.
September 15, 2009 at 11:22 pm
Taylor had a near identical outfit on Garance's blog yesterday. Love her Julianne Moore-like red hair!
September 15, 2009 at 11:53 pm
PERFECTION to it's fullest! The over sized shirt looking dress over a ruffled skirt is simply perfection. No one else could carry this look and deliver it this way. The shoes..I am LOVING them! She is so beautiful and she simply says…summer with a hint of autumn coming soon with that cardigan. check out my trendy blog!http://thetrendydwarf.blogspot.com/

I like it! It's new. I really admire the dress shirt dress with the flirty cut of the mini skirt underneath. The shoes are hot.
September 16, 2009 at 1:19 am
i thought it was one dress at first but that layering is just so delicate and beautiful.
September 16, 2009 at 1:32 am
The shoes are awful, but I love love love the glimpse of fabulous skirt peeking out under the dress. It looks like it would be amazing to see all of it – I love the tease in hiding it away like that.
I also love the butterfly sunglasses – very '50's glamour and they suit her face.
September 16, 2009 at 1:55 am
maybe too wrong to be right
September 16, 2009 at 2:44 am
Nice layers and happy face. I repeat again i like when it's wearable :)

she is simply perfect…i love the match of the dress over the skirt and of course she's also beatiful
September 16, 2009 at 7:04 am
I love how her top looks as though it was created from a men's shirt, and how the pleats of her skirt peak out form underneath, so tres chic…
September 16, 2009 at 7:45 am

The skirt is adorable and she is so pretty. The shoes look like torture.
September 16, 2009 at 11:10 am
What I love most about this look is her confidence! That red hair is also so striking compared to the soft colors she's wearing. Fantastic shot, Scott!
September 16, 2009 at 11:17 am
Apologies for my ignorance, but who is Taylor?

Taylor is flawless and those are the shoes from her wedding. How many bride's have such killer wedding shoes. I want them.

I am in love with that awesome look. So bright, fresh. I love the way she dresses.
September 16, 2009 at 1:59 pm
Garance Dore not only talked about legs, I believe she showed this same woman. This model is having a good week for appearing in blogs.
September 16, 2009 at 3:05 pm
Facehunter has her on too.
September 16, 2009 at 3:58 pm
She looks flirty! I'd like legs like that please!

I like this a lot. Pretty lady, beautifully shot. Also love the repetition of the pleats along with the repetition of the straps on her shoes.

It's That Girl!
September 16, 2009 at 5:58 pm
Amazing! I sat beside this woman at the hair salon that very same day. At first glance, her outfit seemed to not go together, but when she stood up, it was just fabulous! I thought the skirt and the shoes were what pulled it all together, and that pink sparkly necklace was icing.
September 16, 2009 at 9:57 pm
A little too mis-matched for me, but I love the top alone with the skirt and the shoes are killer! Wish I had those!

to answer the question that's been asked several times…from where are those shoes?i just got a pair that looks dautingly similar (may even be the same, but it's difficult to tell…) at Forum Tufi Duek, a high-end Brazilian store. Although this is of no help to those in other countries, followers from Brazil can rejoyce!)beijos!

September 17, 2009 at 3:53 pm
Give me those shoes!
September 17, 2009 at 5:20 pm
What a show stopper. Love the deep red, sunlit blue, warm grey and killer shoes.
September 17, 2009 at 6:26 pm
The shoes are by Ann D (I assume) – BUT for a much less pricier version, Jeffrey Campbell Julys are where it's at – PLUS they have a walkable heel/wedge, not like these ones. Available here:http://www.solestruck.com/jeffrey-campbell-july-2-black-suede/index.html
or at Urbanoutfitters…

September 17, 2009 at 8:13 pm
I absolutely love this photo. Everything she is wearing is so basic, with a tint of flair. Her sunglasses have just a tad of flair to them. Everything is perfect.
September 18, 2009 at 4:55 am
She is wearing a great outfit, but my attention inevitably goes to the guy in the background… Rolled up sleeves, sigh…
September 18, 2009 at 2:10 pm
I do not like any particular pieace she was wearing, but together they worked beautifully. The sunglasses, the dress, the white skirt and the shoes, even her smile. Good work.
September 18, 2009 at 5:16 pm
love it! and i love her hair also!
September 20, 2009 at 3:26 am
the whole composition of this photograph is absolutely striking. the lightness of her legs and the unexpected straps of her shoes contrast beautifully with her killer neckless and dark nails. total fashionista! and great photo!
