I love this study of his face-his ears, the lock of hair. This picture's not about the clothes–they're supporting players only. Love the out-of-focus colors and shapes in the background complementing this portrait.
And just yesterday I commented about needing to wear one light-reflecting element. I stand corrected, this is a great outfit! I would love it even more if his long sleeves protruded an inch or so from his jacket cuffs. Jorge from WPB
His watch and the piping (?) on his shirt are great. But I do not like the color combo of the jacket, shirt and slacks. Love the stop light to his right.
The old picture was, for my tastes, superior (both in terms of the clothes and the picture itself) but I am still enjoying the jutting lapels this feller seems to prefer.
I couldn't decipher the maker of the watch but it looks like the real deal from the 20s or early 30s. could be Rolex or a LeCoultre. beautiful piece. whether it works or otherwise is irreverently irrelevant. it matches his overall style. well done.
Classic styling. Like the whole brown/blue thematic. But jacket and pant pallets clash. The slim/delicate design of the watch compliments the structured look as well.
Sir, you looked dashing at the Barney's book signing.
I would find it enlightening to know what your subjects' professions are. I am suspicious that they mostly work in the fashion industry and therefore their jobs require that they sartorialize. I am hoping that a one word description of their chosen professions will prove me wrong.
Amazing! He reminds me of young François Truffaut, the look and deep dark eyes. Even more the right side of his face – due perhaps to the curl on his forehead. Great work as always, Sart! Thanks.
The "Cartier Tank" inspired rectangular watches are definitely back in a big way. Mine had sat in a drawer for many years. Within the last year and a half, I had my watchmaker service it. Now it's back in regular use.
VERY nice and crisp jacket I usually don't like peak lapels, but guys like this are starting to change my outlook on them, and make me consider it for myself- since it is good for shorter men
I once bought a velvet cape of that same color in Morocco. It's a mesmerizing color because it's neither blue nor green. Calling it blue/green hardly does it's depths justice.
I was told it's called Mediterranean blue. But should the world blue be in the name? On the boat from Morocco to Spain I saw that color in the sea.
The taupe shirt with it is genius. any color that harmonizes with the hair usually is a genius move. "When in doubt, harmonize with the hair."
His watch is elegant. Is it an heirloom? Really nice.
