the difference between the women ouside the Lanvin show (esp the trench coated woman) and a lot of the women you have been photographing in Europe is this: the woman in the trench looks modern and fun not taking herself too seriously and a lot of the other photos look like the woman were up all night trying on clothes to get the look just right. In other words too practiced. Somehow the classics look just right now. Not too done up. The photo of Garance in the brown oxfords is a classic. It could be anytime anywhere. It could be Greta Garbo in the 40's.
Top image: The ensemble is so abstract and pure in form, model's hair included, that is is like a bucket of cold water to see the polka-dot hosiery, it detracts from the entire effort, almost like a floral print handbag would. Bottom image: Love everything, especially the shoes! I wish we could see the wash of the jeans, it seems like something interesting is going on there. Also, there is a handbag which we can't see. Hopefully it is not floral print… Jorge from WPB
I love, love, love both of these. Black and white is so great because you get the scale of tone from white to black with all the nuances in between. First pic, love the geometric quality of the coat and hair and I think the pattern in the tights was necessary as a counterpoint. Second photo, the coat looks like great quality but worn with panache which takes the stuffiness out of it. And the Hat! Too wonderful.
Both look wonderful. I am a big fun of hats. I can wear it with everything. I have just discovered dotted tights. I like as the woman on first picture wears them. Greetings.
Loving these, Sart. Could we have more please? So subtle. They're stunning. Like editorials. Love the tyre tracks in the second pic. They complement the straps on her shoes. Almost like positive/negative. I feel this series would be the perfect counterpart to the dark portraits of the men you did a few weeks a go. Would you ever consider selling prints?! I'm sure I'm not the only one that would lease out their granny to get their paws on one!! I'm not joking Want one now! LOL
absolutely beautiful photos…lush, textural, quiet and mysterious in black/white. sometimes color just isn't needed to showing details in the clothing. i'd love to see more black and white photos here.
The mood in the pictures…The mood! that is what is great!!!these photographs let me thinking, I am intrigued, I want to know more! The clothes are perfect, the models and the hair impeccable, the setting dark enough to make a statement and bring that touch of mystery. You are always surprising, when we all think we saw it all, you come with something like this and it is like "do not underestimate this guy…" Genious
love it love it love it. i really like the rolled pant with incredible shoes. trench and hat are bonus. would normally think this is too much all together, but it works. hopefully all the colors are muted. b&w makes it!
dotted tights are one of the few novelty accessories that will be sticking around for a bit. with all the patterned/ripped/colored/etc.. leg wear the has been seen as of late, i truely think that the dotted tight will be like oatmeal before a long walk.. it'll stick with you!!
i am in love with the second picture. i wish i could wear a hat like that, jeans like that and the trenchcoat like that which would solve my unphotogenic face and what to wear dilemna as i would wear it everyday. great great shot and the location looks cool too.
The second picture is my new desktop image. I want it in every detail. Yes. Yes. Yes. And the shot reminds me a little of the now late, always great, Irving Penn.

in both the shapes are really well put together, each fold and fall, and there is a boldness in their simplicity
