I also find stylish people at museums (particularly staff).
the children of museum goers are some of the best dressed people I will see. sometimes they look like they’ve been dressed from a boutique.

I second the above comments.
And Sart, after being deprived of you for two weeks I am feeling very visually greedy: please keep the pics coming!

I like the texture and cut of the coat…
reminds me of Saint Laurent in a way with the skinny jeans and the shoes.

Great shoot. I do wonder if you are right about the guy. Because I can see why you think it looks like he just finished ballet. It would be funny though it turns out he hates ballet haha.
January 5, 2016 at 4:37 pm
So well put.
And he looks great to boot (no pun intended…)
January 5, 2016 at 4:45 pm
What a beautiful juxtaposition. In my mind, I see him dancing off down the street!

I especially like to find something great to read among the cheap (old) books.
It’s like you don’t know what you are looking for and then you find it!
For a dollar it’s also hard to go wrong.
But the thrill of a great find is even more important.
I’ve found the most awesome books this way. Love this feeling.
And aristocratic it is. :)

Curiosity and open mind are the ingredient to an interesting personality…the outside reflects your inner soul….

I read Good Night, Sweet Prince when I was a teenager–it’s a biography of the great John Barrymore. I was obsessed with old movies, and the actors in them. Barrymore’s performance in Twentieth Century is just magnificent (Carole Lombard’s first film, as well): you just cannot take your eyes off of him. And who would want to? In your pic you can just get a glimpse of his beautiful face on the cover!

Love the coat.. especially the pleat in the back!
January 6, 2016 at 8:56 pm

Many,many wonderful bookstores in LA!!
Try to avoid the cliche swipes at the city without knowing about it and living here.

First time commenting on your wonderful site. Just have to tell you that I love everything about this photo. As a book lover myself, this appeals to me on many levels. Love the cut of his coat, and the shoes, etc.

Love the coat and shoes. And I really like the fact that your shots make everyone greedy to know more about the person you photograph.

I love that such a well dressed man looks at those books too, haha! When I am in the area and passing that store, I do the same thing. Who can pass up books, especially for $1. Great shot as usual, Scott. Thank you!
