Got lost in the opulence of the latter wrap, remotely reminds me of the off-the-shoulder Tibetan chuba.
November 7, 2015 at 2:03 am
Its totally different.
November 7, 2015 at 6:41 am
Wow, it reminds us of x’ams immediately!
Sometimes, best and the laziest way to dress in winter is just grabbing a huge coat and knitwear and wrapping yourselves. Love it, so cozy!

The first pic looks like a chrysalis, amazing idea!

The Valentina coat is adorable, and well, the Rocha piece is for people who dont fear fashion :-)

Probably not for: driving a 7.6 million dollar Ferrari or for riding a bike or for juggling bottles of Cristal or babysitting 8 toddlers or for flipping burgers. Or….lol ;)
Wonderful shots, Scott! xo @—>—–

Both are horrid. Can’t people say yuck! when yuck is appropriate?
November 8, 2015 at 8:46 am
TOTALLY. I always smile when people are “oohing” and “ahhing” over a pic I see as Scott’s unspoken commentary on a look, as opposed to showing off an outfit’s glory.
I actually LOVE the black coat if it, um, had sleeves or at least slits so it’s a sort of coat/poncho type thing. The second is a mystery to me. Gorgeous fabric, but it’s just ugly and weird. One of those “concept pieces” I don’t get.
As if women aren’t muzzled enough by fashion, we have someone at Valentino/Simone Rocha’s designing these?
November 8, 2015 at 2:51 pm
Thank you both, though I disagree on the details ;-)
The first one somehow reminds me of a war uniform. Not my style, nor one I like. The second one is interesting and has a stunning design, but without sleeves it just doesn’t fly with me. Oh well.

I have to agree. Where is the practical application? How does she get in and take off the black jacket?
November 7, 2015 at 11:32 pm
Beautiful detailing but I prefer women with arms.
November 8, 2015 at 10:32 am
I agree, Rebecca. Arms are usefiul. If I had someone to open doors for me though, I wouldn’t mind walking around on a cold day in the Valentino with the polished military look. The Rocha seems purely for art’s sake – not a bad thing! xo

The wearers will land flat on their faces should they stumble and fall.
The rug-turned-into-sleeping bag is plain ugly
November 8, 2015 at 3:19 pm
I don’t know if the designs are practical, but still. Looks gorgeous!
November 8, 2015 at 11:03 pm
I get the feeling that either Scott or the designers are laughing up their sleeves at all of us taking these designs seriously.
November 9, 2015 at 4:37 am
Nah, thanks. Not for me. I like using my hands :)
I just can’t adore totally unuseful clothing. However fabrics are really gorgeous.
