Very nice. Very nice indeed.
December 21, 2009 at 12:38 am
The shades, the watches, the shirt, the pants – everything works. But my favorite detail is over-the-shoulder navy blazer.http://letsgrowuplater.blogspot.com/
December 21, 2009 at 12:39 am
pure class…minus the cigarette.
December 4, 2012 at 12:59 am
oh I wouldn’t say that. I think Scott is single-handledly resurrecting the coolness of smoking. About every other photo has a cool person smoking!
December 21, 2009 at 12:43 am
great colors, love the sunglasses too. those pants are amazing! the same goes for the shirt. anybody knows where he got it from?
i'm gonna be like this guy when i grow up.
December 21, 2009 at 12:48 am
Rocking the simplicity.
the details from head to toe are amazing, the colours work well too, i love the hint of his amazing big eyes under those shades!
December 21, 2009 at 1:00 am
I don't know. He always looks the same: same silhouette, same sleeves; I bet his pants were a little short at the ankle and he wasn't wearing socks. It looks good, but a bit unvarying. Maybe it's just a case of him knowing what suits him (which it clearly does) and sticking with it.
December 21, 2009 at 1:04 am
Yeuch cigarette. Everything else is great!!
December 21, 2009 at 1:13 am
wow, i'd take a second look at him!
December 21, 2009 at 1:20 am

Good-looking man, relaxed elegance – and in top shape, too.Not many men this age are so fit.

An American in Paris?
December 21, 2009 at 2:53 am
Muy caliente!! texture, colors and shape… Heating up the streets of Paris.
December 21, 2009 at 3:05 am
Good ol' George, always on form.
December 21, 2009 at 3:12 am
Cool look! Amazing how a flat-weave can change the look of a polo shirt so much – love it. I also like the detail of the turned out waistband, although it doesn't help the 'hang' of the trousers. Great shades too.
December 21, 2009 at 3:15 am
His stature is so impressive, I love how the shirt and pants both fit him snugly but very well.Wrist watch tops it off.
December 21, 2009 at 3:17 am
I would marry him today! Awesome is just the middlename.

Mr Cortina is truly sex-on-a-stick!
December 21, 2009 at 3:52 am
Cool guy. Is is so warm in Paris right now or just everyone is cold-resistant?
December 21, 2009 at 3:55 am
This guy would've been freezing in Paris this week!
December 21, 2009 at 4:06 am
Very nice. I like the cigarette as well. I'm not proud to say it, but it makes him look hot.
December 21, 2009 at 4:07 am
I never would have put those two colors together…but he makes it work. Very put together & confident.
December 21, 2009 at 4:21 am
Love the effort, he's put into his outfit – I would never have thought that folding over your waistband could be so chic! It's all in the details!
December 21, 2009 at 4:24 am
I love the effort he's put into his outfit – I would never have thought that simply folding over your waistband could look so chic! It's really about the details!
December 21, 2009 at 4:33 am

Amazing sunglasses! And the cigar complete the look!xx
December 21, 2009 at 7:43 am
The picture itself is more artistic than his look; typical french man: simple and full of colors.

Oh Sart, after some inspirational "real people caught on the streets" shots in Australia, you're back to months-old shots of fashion folk. It's snowing in Paris (and New York) right now, please show us some stylish inspiration when most of us are "folks dressed up like Eskimos!"
December 21, 2009 at 8:25 am
Damn! That's what I hope my husband will look like when he's at that age.
December 21, 2009 at 8:45 am
I love the this combination: blue and brown! The shirt is really beautifull!
December 21, 2009 at 9:07 am
I cannot believe smoking can still be considered fashionable. shame on you for perpetuating this lie!m (and I don't care that it's Paris and everyone smokes)
December 21, 2009 at 9:24 am
isn't he cold?
December 21, 2009 at 9:30 am
Can a look be more HONEST than this?
December 21, 2009 at 9:31 am
I want his "swagger."
December 21, 2009 at 9:32 am
basic get-up, but if you are as rad looking and self assured as this fellow, you don't need any labels or "look at me" clothes!!!

Stylish and sexy man!
December 21, 2009 at 9:39 am
oh you should do a Style Profile post on him!
December 21, 2009 at 9:40 am
sexy as hell…except for the fit on the pant waistband and the gawdawfull ciggie-butt. other than that…matinee idol sexy!
December 21, 2009 at 9:43 am
It's George! You know, as once quoted, "Always with the glasses."
December 21, 2009 at 9:44 am
It looks like he folded over the waistband of his pants. One can tell by looking at his left side (right side of photo).
The look is very put together with the exception of the cancerstick. Moreover, it is a look that can be duplicated at comparatively little expense with knock-offs from any number of outlets.
He looks amazing. Very hot! I love the outfit. xoxo
December 21, 2009 at 10:05 am
Ooh la la…. my word… what energy, what a gorgeous man.
December 21, 2009 at 10:06 am
it's really about his enormous sex appeal much more than fashion. do you remember when you once posted the photo of a shirtless man and there was a rather heated discussion of whether beauty should be the focus of your blog or just fashion??well, you have shown us mr. cortina wearing just a t-shirt. and while undoubtedly we could wax academic about the fact that he knows how to wear one artfully, i strongly doubt that that is what keeps drawing us (and you) to pictures of him…
He looks nice.
Muscles are the best accessory.

December 21, 2009 at 10:10 am
Now, I know it's snowing in Paris so I guess this one's from the archives.

December 21, 2009 at 10:53 am

Excellent gentleman. Did he train at the House of Lauren?
I´m in love.
December 21, 2009 at 11:34 am
What a sexy guy!
December 21, 2009 at 11:38 am
His style is not in the clothes, his style is a facial expression, posture, energy
December 21, 2009 at 11:44 am
What a great shot of a cool look.Five years since I,ve touched a cigarette, and I still smoke in my dreams on occasion. I'll dream about it tonight, oh dear. I hate to admit a cigarette can set of a look. When is the Sartorialist going to visit sunny Scotland. You definitely will not being having breakfast al fresco here in December. Happy Holidays.
December 21, 2009 at 11:48 am
Have always loved folded-over waistbands. If you get them to lie right, it's like instant custom tailoring.
December 21, 2009 at 11:59 am
The cigarette bashing appears to be a case of herd dishonesty.
I wonder if they watch Cary Grant or Paul Newman movies and say "Yeuch! He's smoking!"
December 21, 2009 at 12:04 pm
This man's confident casual look and muscular presence are reminiscent of the well-toned, much younger — and much less abused — Mickey Rourke (circa his 1986 "9 & 1/2 Weeks" film).
December 21, 2009 at 12:13 pm
This shade of colour is perfect..I believe that blue is the new black! Try it!!
December 21, 2009 at 12:28 pm
Anyone know where the shades are from? HOT.
December 21, 2009 at 12:43 pm
December 21, 2009 at 12:51 pm
great blog – i look forward to cheecking in with the satorialist in the new year…
December 21, 2009 at 1:01 pm
I think there should be a page devoted to just Mr. Cortina…
He's pure timeless, relaxed elegance and refinement: He could easily be transplanted to the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and never look out of place. I'm sure that there are people that would find that boring because they need the latest look, but with Mr. Cortina, I'm impressed by the person, the man– not the fashion.
December 21, 2009 at 1:14 pm
love the colors…the sunglasses/the shirt. very handsome. super swag.
December 21, 2009 at 1:31 pm
Like the shirt and glasses, but not the pants.
December 21, 2009 at 1:42 pm
I don't think some of you guys commenting on the outfits not varying realize it's not just about the clothes, it's the surroundings, the way they present themselves. Think more about the photograph, not the outfit.
December 21, 2009 at 1:47 pm
I love the colors. Beautiful green and blue…it's hard to match !
December 21, 2009 at 2:33 pm
Smart. Is he also an accountant?
December 21, 2009 at 2:47 pm
I'm temporarily distracted from the clothes by thinking: why do I never see anyone like this walking down my local high street?
I looooove the bracelet/bands above his watch. THAT is sexy!
December 21, 2009 at 2:51 pm
He´s sooo sexy, you´ve capted his essence
December 21, 2009 at 3:40 pm
This guy looks vvvery cool, in a way that is just the same style I wear, cool, thank you, amazing blog !
December 21, 2009 at 3:42 pm
Come on, does everyone really feel that way about the cigarette or are you all just being politically correct?!
The colour of the shirt is exciting, the trousers look like they feel divine, his body is beautifully proportioned and the cigarete is ohh soo sexy.
December 21, 2009 at 4:06 pm
Same subject, different day. Yawn.

December 21, 2009 at 5:23 pm
Nice-looking fellow, but as others noted the clothes are the same ole same ole. And the sleeves, snugger than ever, strike me as silly.

"To everyone who thinks the cigarette is "garbage": This is Paris, everyone smokes. Plus, i think the cigarette contributes greatly to this classy look."
Cigarette smoking is both obnoxious and unhealthy. If you find it to be somehow "chic," either in Paris or Demoines, you're clearly a fashion victim. There was a time when "everyone" killed Jews. When "everyone" owned slaves. When "everyone" repressed women. Paris will be "chic" again when its arrogance is finally updated.
re: Mr. CortinaHe is always extraordinarily stylish in images posted here, but this is maybe the least impressive of what i've seen.
December 21, 2009 at 6:06 pm
I wish i could be tone like this guy
December 21, 2009 at 6:15 pm
Why is everyone wearing sunglasses in December?
December 21, 2009 at 6:17 pm
I totally love this man. So hot, including the cig!!
December 21, 2009 at 6:53 pm
Mr Cortina is always a pleasure to see on this site. His style is sexy and masculine, without ignorance nor slavery to trends, not to mention the canvas. It is, in essence, what I try to capture in my style. Bravo!
December 21, 2009 at 7:16 pm
who says older men aren't sexy?
December 21, 2009 at 7:18 pm
I love this blue shirt!!!!!!!
December 21, 2009 at 7:33 pm
it is amazing how you can dress so casual and make that huge statement… look and the Colour, the style of the shirt and the turn over pant… this is beautiful coupled with his look.. im adopting this right away….
December 21, 2009 at 8:47 pm
i love navy with khaki…great sunshades also.
December 21, 2009 at 8:51 pm

December 21, 2009 at 9:20 pm
If you're reading this, you look terrific. It's been a hundred years, but would love to hear from you.
December 21, 2009 at 9:32 pm
Ahhh George, my favourite. I need to know who makes those glasses and what the model is. Does anyone know??
December 21, 2009 at 10:17 pm
Very nice. He conveys confidence.
December 21, 2009 at 10:24 pm
December 21, 2009 at 10:38 pm
No matter how bad it is for you. you cannot deny, a cigarette still makes you look cool.
December 21, 2009 at 10:50 pm
The colour, the colour, the colour. By the way, I saw your book in person today for the first time and it's a must have. Wonderful! It's even better than I expected. Good for you.
December 21, 2009 at 11:05 pm
it's the incredible hulk!
December 21, 2009 at 11:54 pm
Everything looks fantastic – men in colours rather than the drabness of a black shirt. I absolutely love that he's wearing young clothes, shades, and I can almost smell his cologne through my Mac. Has he been a subject before? Great photo. BTW…let him smoke, Critics. His choice.
December 22, 2009 at 12:57 am
its all in the attitude. that sport coat over the shoulder is what makes this photo for me. I wonder if its the same DB that hes been shot with before.

December 22, 2009 at 1:50 am
He is a stylist and so walking confidently down a city street is in his blood. I am sure a constrution worker in his work outfit or a famer working in the field can potray the same level of confidence…. love the cow boys series from a couple of months ago..
December 22, 2009 at 3:05 am
How can he look perfect everytime? *hearts*
December 22, 2009 at 4:30 am
He is one of the best. Always.
December 22, 2009 at 4:37 am

December 22, 2009 at 4:40 am
Hi sexy :D
December 22, 2009 at 5:02 am
A very sexy guy, he makes a simple outfit look hot. But when was this shot taken? Not recently given the weather in Paris right now…
December 22, 2009 at 6:25 am
If I ignore the cancer stick then I love this man's style. His close shaved beard with the salt and pepper look is especially what does it for me.
December 22, 2009 at 6:27 am
I adore the way European men dress like adults. Simple, chic and sexy.
BTW Scott, The American Apparel adverts on your page are borderline pervy and often disgusting. Do you have any control over the images they can post on your blog?
December 22, 2009 at 7:26 am
A polo shirt tucked into the pants? Not sure about that.
December 22, 2009 at 8:46 am
Want the pants! The color of the polo is spot on.
December 22, 2009 at 8:54 am
Brilliant colour combination with the olive trousers and the shirt in a perfect shade of navy blue. I also noticed the folded waistband, interesting detail.

WOW. He is candy for the eyes. Love it all and the cigarette just adds to his persona. An amazing specimen indeed.
December 22, 2009 at 11:11 am
I wish more men dress like this!! simple,, update of the button down shirt,,, and love the bracelet's on one arm,, as many time you shot Mr Contina he never looks overly done,, Thank you scott for showing that many men out can still have great style at any age,, and not looking like u just dropped off the wife at the local mall !!
December 22, 2009 at 11:20 am
Trying too hard.

please, enough with the cigarette theme! i think the fashion victims, as you say, are those who smoked when it was socially cool and approved, and now that the midia, mkt and so on tell you that smoking is horrible, your goal is to annoy the peolple who still enjoy a good old cigg.
let people do whatever they feel like doing, to be themselves..don´t just repeat whatever is trendy at the moment…and please, don´t compare smoking with slavery, jew´s murther and so on..it´s just ignorance.
p.s. mr cortina is a very sexy man, with or without the cigarette. he has personality!
December 22, 2009 at 12:37 pm
Cool! I love politically incorrect people! A SMOKER THESE DAYS!! It's not healthy…but it's SUCH AN ATTITUDE!
December 22, 2009 at 12:50 pm
Wow!!! NICE! :)
December 22, 2009 at 12:52 pm
The colours are so perfect. Goes to show fashion is about an eye for style, to make "plain jane" pieces work together like butter on bread.
By the way, love your photos. It's inspired me to look out more keenly for fashion on the streets.
December 22, 2009 at 1:47 pm
One word: yummy!
December 22, 2009 at 2:24 pm
Oh George, George. You never fail, never. I agree that his silhouette is often similar, but I think he does manouvre around his basic silhouette a little bit. Plus, his use of fabric and colour is never the same. In essence, then, this is what we should all do: take what you know looks good on you, and twist it around a few times, but sticking to the base that always works! Genius, really.
December 22, 2009 at 2:41 pm
I do not like the cigarette at all.
December 22, 2009 at 2:46 pm
So just what is so special about this man ? He looks very ordinary to me
December 22, 2009 at 2:47 pm
Now THAT's a man. Not these skinny Brad Pitt types, but a real man. Great looks, great clothes, great confidence, makes me want to cry.
December 22, 2009 at 3:22 pm
This is Daniel Craig as 007.
December 22, 2009 at 4:14 pm
yes, clearly, whilst very chic and 'together' this photo was not collected this week in paris…..he'd be dead from frost bite given the current weather
December 22, 2009 at 4:22 pm
What , still shopping your closet Sart ; come on , the recession is over !
December 22, 2009 at 4:37 pm
definition of cool. wow.
December 22, 2009 at 7:35 pm
To all those people bleating about the cigarette – if Sart had deliberately cropped the image so we couldn't see the cigarette, would that not be tantamount to censorship?
People make choices about how they live their lives.
December 22, 2009 at 8:20 pm
Instead of this charade of why smoking kills the vibe or not, lets try and track down who's that shirt by!!
I always like to scan these comment sections for tips and hints to the quality designers being showcased in these photos… and instead its a waste of space to squabble otherwise about a petty nuance.
December 22, 2009 at 8:43 pm
I want to be him. this is so the style I try to have on a daily basis.
December 22, 2009 at 8:44 pm
he's so handsome.
and i didn't see your monthly feature in gq in the jan 2010 issue. hope it returns in the february one.
December 22, 2009 at 11:10 pm
He just looks so cool and BADASS! I love it!

i think that for men a great pair of sinewy arms is the equivalent of a woman having fabulous legs. just the best accessory there is. hes aware of this hence the rolled sleeves and watch/ bracelets which set 'em off just right
December 23, 2009 at 4:23 am
I'm wondering about the weather. Short sleeves in December in Paris?Or this picture is not taken recently? I'm readig the blog from north of Europe and I'm always paying attention to the weather on the pictures as here it always seems to be crappier weather than somewhere else =)
December 23, 2009 at 6:51 am
This man knows he has style. And it's not just about the clothes, he has attitude.Awesome picture!!
December 23, 2009 at 9:39 am
the anti-cig thing is getting really boring now…just get used to it!
December 23, 2009 at 10:22 am

I like that seems to have no belt, but interesting details, one button. And the pants fit him perfectly. I also like his white beard.

Yes. Yes. Yes. All I want for Christmas…

December 23, 2009 at 1:29 pm
So Cortina! 2 colors, minimal/casual/chic clothes and sunglasses. He's actually one of the best-dressed men around the fashion shows. Perfect!
December 23, 2009 at 2:32 pm
yes thats a great combination of colors…. loves it
Julia, the Thanksgiving Girl
December 23, 2009 at 2:51 pm
I personally think it's his inner sexiness and confidence that make the look, not really the outfit. Like, if you put another man in those shirt and pants it wouldn't make the same impression at all. He, however, looks stunning.
December 23, 2009 at 3:22 pm
That's a beautiful shade of blue–great with the olive green pants. I hope we'll be seeing more of it in the stores the coming year?
December 23, 2009 at 4:55 pm
what type of sunglasses are those ? i now know what i want for christmas
December 23, 2009 at 6:27 pm
i want to tell you that i find you blog to be very refreshing!
December 23, 2009 at 8:11 pm
When I look at this man, I absolutely do not see a smoker, I see a man smoking… Not the other way around… Totally adds to him and his persona… Dude is classic and timeless, not to mention completely handsome!
December 23, 2009 at 8:53 pm
Tres ordinaire, and yuck, what's with the cig? So downmarket. It just makes him look even more of a bogan. The girl behind him, in the orange jacket, looks much more interesting.
December 23, 2009 at 8:58 pm
It's an ok outfit, and he wears it well. But it would be nothing special if he was less handsome.
Tina aka Beanie
December 23, 2009 at 11:43 pm
Hotness! Very classic yet casual look. The cig has to go, though. LOL!
December 24, 2009 at 1:55 am
Oh,I think he is very cool!
December 24, 2009 at 2:14 am
Under that shirt and sexy facade, he could be 60 and have the body of an 80 year old man, but it wouldn't matter! It wouldn't matter because, he wears this outfit with confidence and a simple outfit that is worn boldness and poise.
December 24, 2009 at 5:12 am
Cortina proves again: smoking does, always has, and always will look cool.
Does anyone know who the eyewear is by? I like.
December 24, 2009 at 6:44 am

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT KIND OF SHADES HE IS WEARING????
December 24, 2009 at 10:57 am
Anyone know what brand of sunglass Mr. Cortina is wearing? The matte finish and cut is great.
December 24, 2009 at 11:29 am
" Cigarette smoking is both obnoxious and unhealthy. If you find it to be somehow "chic," either in Paris or Demoines, you're clearly a fashion victim. There was a time when "everyone" killed Jews. When "everyone" owned slaves. When "everyone" repressed women. Paris will be "chic" again when its arrogance is finally updated. "the things you mentioned cannot be compared with smoking. smoking is something you do to yourself, and not to somebody else. therefore – if you don´t smoke, kudos to you. and if others smoke – let them mind their own business.mr. cortina is hot as hell.sex on legs.whuuuuuoaw
December 24, 2009 at 12:48 pm
This guy turns simplcity and austerity into an art form. I love and follow the spirit. He wears the clothes well, they don't wear him. The shades are fantastic, Tom Ford? I gotta have a pair!! From my point of view, he's beyond hot…
December 24, 2009 at 1:24 pm
Merry Christmas Mr Cortina!
December 24, 2009 at 2:21 pm

December 25, 2009 at 3:00 am
Wow, what great arms!
I abhor smoking myself but I will admit that a cigarette does add coolness to -almost- any look.
December 25, 2009 at 5:18 am

December 25, 2009 at 7:39 am

December 27, 2009 at 11:32 am
what a macho man! lol
December 27, 2009 at 3:45 pm
Most of all, I love that this fellow has found the perfect hairstyle to maintain very sincere cool even though working with a little less "inventory" as many of us men are.
Many of us try too hard (comb over/excessive styling) or give up (shave it completely).
Kudos to you, sir.
December 27, 2009 at 3:58 pm
thiss looks like every males' ideal look when they age, gracefully!
December 27, 2009 at 11:43 pm
I received your book for Christmas, Scott, and I'm struck by what a fantastic resource it will be in the future. I'm a costume history student and I marvel at what a tool it will be for designers in the years to come, and students decades from now. It's truly immaculate.
December 28, 2009 at 2:09 am

December 28, 2009 at 4:43 pm
I love that you see inspiration in people that to an untrained eye are so ordinary! You would be useless if you were ordinary but you are not and that is what is extraordinary about your blog! Anyone can see the style and uniqueness in this photograph but few can see the style and uniqueness of that man out on the street!Okay that was passionate! haha!Tomorrow x

December 28, 2009 at 6:05 pm
OMG, yes so sexy !
December 28, 2009 at 11:25 pm
Such a handsome man need not rely on flash to be stylish. He is right to keep his clothing simple and refined, and let his fine masculinity do the talking.
December 28, 2009 at 11:50 pm
Laid back,OH SO SEXY and love love love the colors and the watch.. Want the pants too…
December 29, 2009 at 8:34 am

December 30, 2009 at 4:25 am
Ooo Mr Sartorialist, I know that you're probably holidaying like the rest of us, but now that I have free time I'm checking the blog all the time wishing for updates!! Looking forward to the posts in the new year – yay!
ps. what a pity Mr Cortina is smoking. But absolutely love the shirt with buttoning only to the pectoral line. Mens shirts like these are GREAT as a comfy beach throw on for ladies, especially those who are bustier. Its summer here :)
December 30, 2009 at 5:56 am
December 30, 2009 at 6:54 am

December 30, 2009 at 12:40 pm
love his look, especially the pants with shirt tucked in.
Did someone here compare smoking to the holocaust, that's just not right, not right. Cars kill 3 times as many people as cigaerettes…

December 30, 2009 at 1:44 pm
I love the shirt. By the way check out thebowtiesociety.blogspot.com if want to see other perspectives on how to dress well.

December 30, 2009 at 6:33 pm
Ahh Scott, where have you and Garance disappeared to? Haven't heard from either of you in at least a week!
December 30, 2009 at 6:42 pm
does anyone know where i can get some sunglasses like this! please!
December 30, 2009 at 6:47 pm
i absolutely love how mature he looks and it's not in any way cheesy. not like those 45-year-old, super tanned, super ed hardy'd dads who attempt to mature 'gracefully'. this man is the epitome of lasting masculinity, and he isn't even a senior citizen yet! can't wait to see more photos of him in the future.
December 30, 2009 at 7:33 pm
Wow! This look is very wannabe James Bond. I am definitely loving it!
December 30, 2009 at 10:51 pm
December 30, 2009 at 11:16 pm
I looks really hot. But he could lose the cigarette!
December 31, 2009 at 12:39 am
Tres, tres chic. I looove him.
December 31, 2009 at 4:21 am
just noticed you dont ever take pictures of anyone obese.
December 31, 2009 at 7:04 am
Slimply the french Class!
December 31, 2009 at 7:41 am
Shade of blue suits him. Maybe chicer sans cig.
December 31, 2009 at 9:13 am
It would kill you to do a little updating during the holidays? A little season appropriate snow? A well dressed Sinterklaas? A handsome baby 2010?
December 31, 2009 at 10:19 am
leave the beautiful guy's cigarette alone. bravo sir.
December 31, 2009 at 11:30 am
We need more posts!! I have eagerly been checking the Sartorialist everyday in hopes of a new picture.. Not that I don't love Mr Cortina's masculine style.
December 31, 2009 at 12:34 pm
Are you alright, my friend? I have not seen any update for a long time.
December 31, 2009 at 1:26 pm
altho this man is well dressed i think to leave us with him over the holidays is weak.
glad ur taking a well deserved break maybe a holiday color savvy collage or a written note would be betta.
December 31, 2009 at 2:51 pm
I think that the success with this particular look is the timelessness…is this a photo from the 50's…or was it taken yesterday? The cigarette makes it even more a classic.

January 1, 2010 at 9:06 pm
How sexy can one get. I don't want to get hate answers but:- I love the cigarette- I hope he's not gay because too many of them are too handsome and it's not fair!- WHO is this guy (OK, will google it).
January 1, 2010 at 9:24 pm
happy new year!!!! A new year of more inspiring and beautiful people! thank you!
January 1, 2010 at 9:26 pm
I really like this style! Its just screaming MAN!Brilliant color combination and all this un ironest just making it look better. love 3days beard for this look.

…and I need to light a ciggy after seeing this creature. HOT!
January 2, 2010 at 7:30 pm
sexy sexy !!
January 2, 2010 at 8:56 pm
i love this photograph. it's like james bond meets george clooney only better. amazing eye.
January 3, 2010 at 4:43 am
I agree with Mordechai, the shirt seems a little off color. But I think the pants are at fault here, not the shirt. Need to be a little darker.
Though contrast can look excellent in most cases, this unfortunately isn't one of them. It just doesn't "flow"
When an outfit "flows", even the colorblind will see that it fits together perfectly, like a waterfall of style.
I don't mean to offend the stylist involved here in any way, the work overall does look incredibly smart, I'm simply saying it could be improved according to my own tastes :). Which really is all it comes down to in the end is what the individual prefers…
Great picture though, love the sunnies and absolutely adore the blazer.
January 3, 2010 at 7:46 am
hot as always. if u would be a man i would dress like that.
January 3, 2010 at 8:59 am
Interesting how fit he looks and yet there is a cigarette in his hand. Intriguing. It adds to the picture, but I daresay if I were present it would take away from the overall air of refinement that is suggested in the picture.
January 3, 2010 at 1:41 pm
Yowzas! What a stylish man! http://www.bloggamonsta.blogspot.com/
January 3, 2010 at 6:35 pm
He is absolutely exquisite. Yummy!
January 3, 2010 at 8:46 pm
Happy New Year Scott. Thanks for the sartorial wonderland you provided in '09 – here's to many more in 2010. x
January 3, 2010 at 11:04 pm
He is gorgeous!
January 3, 2010 at 11:40 pm
Wow- very hot, but it's really about the walk, the confidence. Still, the shirt looks great, and the color choices together are very good.
Maria of Luxembourg
January 4, 2010 at 10:47 am
stylish and decontracté: great color match, love the shades AND the cigarette!
January 4, 2010 at 10:49 am
I love the way he emanates chic, style, coolness: great colors, great shades, love the cigarette!
January 4, 2010 at 12:47 pm
this man is gorgeous. everything about him works.
January 4, 2010 at 9:42 pm
I really wish that everybody would quit with this holier-than-thou attitude toward cigarettes. The fact that a person smokes really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things as far as fashion is concerned. Many of the posts on here treat the cigarettes as if they are part of the sartorial choices made by the subjects of the photos themselves. Posts such as the one claiming that "The Cigarette is garbage, but I love the colors!" is nothing more than the poster letting his personal opinion toward cigarettes known, no doubt feeling as if they have accomplished something by doing so. Let's not lose sight of the purpose of this blog people, please! Live and let live – it's really none of your business if somebody smokes or not. All of this aside, I happen to love this gentleman's ensemble. It is very masculine but still allows a hint of femininity, especially in the slightly puffy sleeves and detailed neckline.
January 5, 2010 at 5:48 pm
What a fabulous man!
January 6, 2010 at 12:50 am
awww, c'mon! he could be wearing ANYTHING. no fair to everyone else…
January 6, 2010 at 8:28 am
really really handsom man!!! merry me?:)
January 7, 2010 at 12:09 am
January 7, 2010 at 4:22 pm
I wonder why he would fold his waist band on his trousers!? – It looks like he has colored his own shirt!? I like the way the shoulder on our right (his left) looks like it has pleats! If a man could pull off puffy sleeves….he´s the man!
January 8, 2010 at 4:24 am
A real man's man!
you guys are talking about his fag like it's some sort of fashion accessory. It's there because he's smoking it; it's not part of his outfit. Mind your own
January 8, 2010 at 6:52 pm
It looks like the waistband is NOT folded in the back – look closer! Maybe it's just a wardrobe failure/malfunction after sitting? :-D It's funny how fashion trends sometimes get created))) I'm sure after seeing the famous stylist on The Sartorialist thousands of young boys will start to roll their waistbands and it will become sooo IN! Just don't forget to rip the white inside tags (saying made in Bangladesh) off before doing so)

j'adore le style et l'allure de cet homme..simplement sexy karine

January 11, 2010 at 6:45 am
OhmyGod, This one is steamingggg!.. The arm muscles, the way he's holding that cigarette… The air around him. Him!
January 11, 2010 at 5:52 pm
January 11, 2010 at 6:54 pm
Bet he looks just as classy with those clothes on the bedroom floor.
Lets all mature like Mr. Cortina.(who cares if he smokes)
January 12, 2010 at 8:03 am
o my WOOOOORD. this man is magnificent!!! the salt and pepper hair..o my!!! His outfit would look even better hanging in one of my closets…hehehehe.
January 13, 2010 at 2:21 am
wonder where they find shirts like those..great look
January 13, 2010 at 7:39 am
i want to put him in a glass frame and admire him (and his cigarette..and im a non smoker) for all eternity!!!! there is simply nothing better to do with this piece of perfection…yum yum yum
January 15, 2010 at 10:09 am
Its a great look, yes, he's always sporting it and its easy, but its timeless…
January 15, 2010 at 5:35 pm
i'm actually more into the pieces he's wearing as separate entities rather than the predictable albeit sweet whole. that shirt with its deep v neck tends to be paired with stiff, tall, peaked collars but here the collar resembles a polo shirt almost floppy; further the shirt's material creases like linen around his abdomen but between the way the collar sits and its apparent thickness it might be any number of blends. and whatever that belt/pants part is, its bangin.
January 16, 2010 at 12:49 pm
Hasn't anyone noticed the woman behind him to his right? She's enjoying the view too!
January 20, 2010 at 5:14 pm
I love the whole look, it woks so well for him, effortlessly chic.great match watch and bracelets.Pity the cigarrete
January 23, 2010 at 11:10 pm
Sexy shot. I do love the combination of dark blue and olive.
January 27, 2010 at 8:56 pm
thanks for taking us on these delightful little trips around the world!!
January 28, 2010 at 1:41 pm
Once again the cigarette proves to be sexy. Sadly it is disgraceful tacky on most of the hoi palloi, but on that glorious handful of truly stylist people, it remains the ultimate accessory of cool chic.
January 28, 2010 at 8:30 pm
anyone know the eyewear?
January 30, 2010 at 9:32 pm
God DAMN.It is extremely sexy to see an older gentleman working it oh so very well.Honstely, if he can make a fourteen year old girl's jaw drop (and he can), you gotta give him props…Damn.
February 9, 2010 at 10:59 pm
it'cool! without belt.Because Contrast is good.
May 21, 2010 at 3:16 pm
Christ at all the anti-cigarette bellyaching on this blog, they can't post a single picture of someone smoking a cigarette here without a dozen or so people bitching about it.
I hope none of you eat meat, drink alcohol, wear fur, or drive gas guzzlers…
I doubt very highly that this guy is smoking to make himself look "cool" or "fashionable"…he manages that perfectly well on his own.
In any case, I think he looks tres chic…I'd share a match with this man any day of the week!
September 1, 2010 at 1:26 pm
Dank… He always pull it together… Mr. Cortina, you are the best!
January 27, 2011 at 3:38 pm
wow! very smart man! a shirt at all super!
